  • Loved it so much we want to be neighbors!

"My husband and I usually spend a few nights in the Smoky Mountains without our children, but we decided to stay closer to home (Nashville area) this year. Fall Creek Falls was just as beautiful as anything in the Smokies without having to worry about bears (or traffic)! We did see a fox trot across the lawn, so there is still plenty of wildlife. The cabin itself is in an amazing location. You can almost get a view through the trees from the deck, but the short walk out the rock is worth it. Unlike the Smokies, there are no other cabins to see or hear on the other hills. It's just quiet and breathtaking. We hoped to catch a sunrise, but it was overcast the weekend we went. The waterfall is amazing, too. Next time I will bring a book to read while I enjoy the sounds and the coolness under the trees. The cabin is small, but the deck and property are large. I just wanted to spend time outside. We actually found it bigger than we needed for just the two of us and see no problem with spending a weekend with our family of 4. It was also nice to have coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper - the things you forget. We fell in love with the town, too. We attended Spencer Church of Christ and were the only visitors. On the way in we stopped at The Pink House Gifts - the only shop on the square. The owner was very friendly and invited us back for tea with Santa at the holidays. We hope to take her up on that - and we also hope this cabin is available to visit with our two girls. The surrounding property is for sale. Next time we go we plan to hike along the bluff to check out the views. Maybe we will wind up with a vacation home of our own!"

  • Great Cabin Get-a-way

"Our stay was terrific! We had a damp rainy weekend but that didn't matter. We felt right at home and enjoyed the "family" time. We took the time to play some card and board games that we don't usually get to do at home. We did have a problem accessing the internet due to some thunder storms before we got there, but Rachelle was right there and it was fixed in no time. The kitchen is fully stocked with most anything that you would need and then some. The owners have been very considerate and generous in some of the extras that were in the cabinets and drawers. (coffee, creamer, sugar, food wraps etc.) These were unexpected and we had brought our own but definitely a plus! Two of our grandchildren were with us and in spite of the rain they enjoyed playing on the awesome porch!!! The cabin is beautiful and has a real "homey" feel. We were quite comfortable. We would definitely recommend this get-a-way cabin and would come again ourselves. Thank you to Peter and Rachelle. We had a lovely time."
