  • Great, inexpensive rental in Nashville!

"Great location - easy to access downtown areas, many cute shops and restaurants within walking distance. I will definitely return there for a future nashville stay. Also pretty quiet, even though there are neighbors on both sides - neighbors were very friendly. Only concern is parking - there is a 'designated' parking spot in the back, but on two of our six nights it was filled so we had to street park out front."

  • Best place to stay in Nashville

"Perfect location for everything you want to do in Nashville! Minutes to downtown and you can walk to the pubs on demonbreoun. Our teen loved the pool, and we loved the peace and quiet of Spence Manor. Super close to Vandetbilt and Belmont. Loved!"

  • Lovely Lakeside Vacation

"We had a very pleasant and most comfortable four night stay at Old Hickory where we greatly enjoyed the excellently appointed facilities of the property as well its beautiful location and views. We were fortunate to have spectacularly good weather. However, even with sunshine, it was still too cool to take full advantage of the balcony, and of course the swimming pool was already closed for the season. We would love to come another time when all the facilities were available, and the also perhaps to enjoy getting in the Lake itself, but living so far away in Scotland, that seems unlikely. Having said that we had a very active few days, visiting Nashville, where we in a very special concert at the Country Music Hall of Fame (Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn) and a 30 minute drive to Franklin, a wonderful town for its contrast to the hectic downtown of the city. The Civil War sites in Franklin are excellent and we also enjoyed the towns shops and cafes. With some perseverance, and the car's indispensable Satnav, we found the Lakeside Parks and Nature Trails close to Old Hickory Dam (search under Cinder Road). On our farewell evening we enjoyed a drink and a good all-American style supper in Sam's on the Cove in sight of the apartment. We have only one minor negative : as we comprised two couples, sharing the costs, we felt that there was a significant difference in the size and comfort of the two bedrooms, a matter which would have had less significant if were where a family with one or two children. Overall we highly recommend this apartment as a base for a vacation away from the bustle of the big city but close enough to visit. Our very "good" rating would almost certainly have been an "excellent" had it not been for the fact that we could not use the balcony and the pool. This we accepted as a seasonal downside of holidaying in mid-November!"
