  • Nice place.

"Ginger was very responsive and easy to work with. The place was very clean on arrival. It is remote, quiet and scenic, but not too far from Lynchburg for supplies. Kitchen and bathrooms are well-equipped, but a little dated and in need of some attention to minor details, which Ginger said she would address after we left. Comfortable den with nice TV and surround sound. Note--they need to get an HD satellite box. Hot tub a nice plus. 2nd den in basement would be nice for kids, but they have an issue with the inside steps that needs to be addressed. One step is a couple inches taller than the others and catches you off guard, particularly as you're going down stairs. Be careful until this is fixed. Golfers--Bear Trace at Tims Ford is very nice. All in all we enjoyed our stay and the property was a very good value for 4 people"

  • Thanksgiving Blessing

"This house truly is a Thanksgiving blessing for my family. For twenty years our daughters and their families have met us somewhere close to Nashville to celebrate our thankfulness for family. We have used this home for two years and have wondered how we could ever have stayed elsewhere! Thie house is so clean, so comfortable and so perfect for the eight of us. The great room/kitchen is so spacious and the view of the lake from the windows is so beautiful. We've been fortunate enough to have a dusting of snow each visit and this provided us reason to sit by the fire with a cup of cocoa and have wonderful conversations. Communications with owner have been the best! He is open to questions, quickly communicates with you, and goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. He directions are easy to follow and is as near as his phone should you need anything. Our family is small but very close knit. When we meet for Thanksgiving, we come from St Louis as well as two areas in South Carolina. We treasure our time together, and this house feels exactly like home. Perfect!"

  • Parent Week-end - October 2014 - at The University of South - Sewanee

"Our family rented this beautiful home for the third time. This home is "your home away from home". The kitchen is a cook's dream --- every pot, dish, utensil that one needs to cook and entertain can be found. You will love the spacious layout of the entire home. Very relaxing location but convenient to the college campus and several hiking trails. The 4 bedrooms and 3 baths are all large. The all-seasons room on back of home is very nice also. You will not go wrong in renting this home for a night or an entire month --- you will not want to leave!"

  • Lisa & Terry, Northwest Indiana

"My husband and I have very stressful jobs, so we were looking for a place to relax and provide calmness. We so enjoyed the relaxation. Be prepared, there is no cell phone service or internet. But there is satellite tv. If you are really into relaxing and having a tranquil spot, this is your place. The location and home were beautiful. No matter what window you looked out, you had a view of the lake. The house sort of sits on a peninsula and the only traffic you have on your road is the family that lives at the end of the road. The boat dock is 100 yards from your front door. The house is beautiful and very spacious. The deck is the most amazing part of the house as you can see forever. The weather was unseasonable warm, 88 - 90 degrees each day. Too hot for the fish to bite, but there were plenty of them. The only drawback (for me) was that you had to travel for one hour before you came into a decent size town. (Clarksville) That is just me, I love to shop. I wish we would have spent more time talking to the locals, but you have to go into a small town or hang out at the Danville Grill and Bait shop located at the load dock. The house has it's own dock for your boat and that was wonderful. Very convenient. The house was so nice and so well layed out. Having a washer and dryer was awesome. The home had everything we needed. The pictures do not do the lake justice. You won 't be disappointed if you stay there."
