  • Wonderful Natural Escape From Nashville

"My husband and I needed a break from our busy lives in Nashville and this was the perfect solution. We wanted something quiet, serene and pet-friendly and the cabin was ideal. We also wanted to spend time outdoors, but neither of us are exactly the camping type. This charming, rustic (but very nice) cabin was the perfect fit! It looked just like the pictures (except the TV has since been upgraded to a flat screen) and we loved being able to prepare our own meals as well as enjoy the owner's recommended restaurants in Cookeville (a 20 minute drive). We met friends at Cookeville Boat Dock for a day of pontoon boatin' which was really fun. We also enjoyed hiking at Burgess Falls and Cummins Falls (next time we won't forget our swim suits...Cummins Fall has one of the coolest swimming holes we have ever seen!). We are already planning on coming back for another stay in what felt like our own private tree-house. Very well maintained property and we highly recommend it."

  • Awesome!!!!

"We stayed at Artesia for a girls' weekend in Nashville and had an amazing time! Great location--walked through Vanderbilt campus to Pancake Pantry, $15 cab ride downtown to the bars/honky tonks (including tip--split among 5 girls = a whopping $3 per person!). A perfect set-up for those who get up a little bit earlier than the others (able to hang out in the kitchen/living room), lovely bedrooms/bathrooms in which to get ready for a night out/afternoon of touring...all in all, a perfect VRBO experience! And Keith was extremely responsive--easy check-in/check-out (all via email!)! Would definitely stay here again!"

  • Lisa & Terry, Northwest Indiana

"My husband and I have very stressful jobs, so we were looking for a place to relax and provide calmness. We so enjoyed the relaxation. Be prepared, there is no cell phone service or internet. But there is satellite tv. If you are really into relaxing and having a tranquil spot, this is your place. The location and home were beautiful. No matter what window you looked out, you had a view of the lake. The house sort of sits on a peninsula and the only traffic you have on your road is the family that lives at the end of the road. The boat dock is 100 yards from your front door. The house is beautiful and very spacious. The deck is the most amazing part of the house as you can see forever. The weather was unseasonable warm, 88 - 90 degrees each day. Too hot for the fish to bite, but there were plenty of them. The only drawback (for me) was that you had to travel for one hour before you came into a decent size town. (Clarksville) That is just me, I love to shop. I wish we would have spent more time talking to the locals, but you have to go into a small town or hang out at the Danville Grill and Bait shop located at the load dock. The house has it's own dock for your boat and that was wonderful. Very convenient. The house was so nice and so well layed out. Having a washer and dryer was awesome. The home had everything we needed. The pictures do not do the lake justice. You won 't be disappointed if you stay there."
