"My wife and I couldn't have asked for a better location for our honeymoon. Mr. Nate and I had several talks that we both enjoyed. He had plenty of stories to share. While we were there, we visited several different attractions such as Grand Ole Opry, Bluebird Cafe, and the Hermitage. Everything was within reasonable distance from cabin. It's obvious that the Powell's put a lot of time and effort into their property. We felt as if we were part of the family from the time we arrived. Honestly we hated to leave. I can't wait to get back and visit with my new friends again. Uncle Pete's Cabin was definitely the right choice for us! I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to relax and unwind in the peace and quiet."

"My family went to Sewanee and they were thrilled for us to meet there and spend the weekend together. Everything was just as advertised and we had a good time. We took walks and toured the campus. I was especially fascinated with the glass recycling and from my expedition there I learned about "growlers"."

"We stayed at this house for 3 days for my 30th birthday the first weekend in May and enjoyed every minute of it! The house itself is at the end of Shelby Avenue and next to a park, so there are pretty views from the patio. Diane said she lived next door, but the house has privacy and away from the hustle and bustle of Broadway (not too far). The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. We used Lyft (like Uber) the majority of the trip because we did stop by a few breweries to experience local craft beer. I would recommend this option over a taxi cab service because the drivers are very personable and it is cheaper (download the app). The house is about a mile away from some great restaurants, bars, and breweries (Five Points Pizza, Local Taco, Tenn 16, Fat Bottom Brewery, and 3 Crow Bar). I would recommend getting a slice of pizza from Five Points, if you are out late. The Dill Pickle Bloody Mary at The Local Taco was also delicious.
It is about a 5 to 7 minute ride or drive to Broadway, which was not bad at all! I would highly recommend this place to anyone and hope to return in the near future. Diane was a great hostess, very helpful, and even left me a birthday card on the table!"
