"Four of us stayed at this sweet house for 3 nights. Very comfortable and homey. Well equipped to cook dinners, etc. Nice little yard to sit in. Wonderful location in the heart of town. It's obviously a house that someone actually lives in, lots of charm and interesting things. Definitely recommend, we hope to come back here some day."

"This was our second time to rent this vacation home and it accommodated us very nicely. Our children enjoyed themselves and the location is close to family whom we were visiting in the area. We hope to visit again soon, thanks Ellie!"

"We loved Windmill Retreat! The house was designed beautifully and well supplied to make for a comfortable stay. The best part, while close to town "walkable", the house sits just far enough out of town to enjoy the views of the Far West. We loved eating and drinking on the patio daily. At night, we got to enjoy the private fire pit provided on the property. The owner of the property was very responsive to any questions we had and offered suggestions to make our trip truly enjoyable. I highly suggest The Windmill Retreat!"

"We had a great holiday weekend relaxing in Marathon. The house is wonderful. Great location because it's tucked away and remote, but only a five minute walk to town. It was a good jumping off point for days in Big Bend. We loved that it is dog friendly. The only thing that would make the stay even better is if the kitchen had a few more cooking utensils to make it easier. But really no complaints. And the view was fantastic four morning coffee or evening woke!"
