  • Great location

"Great weekend getaway for my son's 17th birthday. Had everything we needed. Owner responded quickly to any question we had. Favorite part was how close it is to the beach. We were able to sit on the deck and watch the boys play on the beach and fish. Close enough to the seawall but far enough to be private. No problems or complaints."

  • Great house and location

"The property was terrific and very well located. Great view of the Gulf, not in one of those soulless subdivisions but on a small street adjacent to the beach. The house was great and the owners gracious."

"We had a great time at this beach cottage. It is second row and still has a great view. The Bermuda Beach area is very private and we had a wonderful time not fighting the crowds or crossing a busy street to get to the sand. The Owner of the property was friendly, easy to work with, and prompt on all correspondence. Our party consisted of 4 adults and 2 kids - we felt that we had sufficient room for the group. The outdoor shower and downstairs toliet were awsome dealing with the kids and the sand that inevitably follows kids everywhere. In the evening we sat downstairs, talked, grilled, felt the cool ocean breeze and listened to the waves. The easy 5 miles into town was more than worth it for the privacy and being that close to the shore line! The house right in front of this cottage has put up a small fence that you have to walk around, however it does not obstruct the view."

Bermuda Beach Travel Tips

Galveston's Story Surrounds Bermuda Beach Lodging

After a hurricane devastated the area in 1900, Galveston is an area that has brought itself back to life. There were no hurricane warning systems when this hurricane made it to land, and the loss of life was catastrophic. However, city leaders fought to turn Galveston into what it is today: a tropical beach community that is a favorite vacation destination for families. From 32 miles of beaches you can sink your toes into, to dining, shopping and nightlife, Galveston has bounced back and Bermuda Beach condos are sure to be a top-spot for your vacation destination again and again.

History Surrounds Bermuda Beach Condos

The Galveston area surrounding Bermuda Beach condos may not show evidence of the hurricane, but history has been preserved for everyone to enjoy. "The Great Storm" is a multimedia presentation at Pier 21 Theater that gives guests a 27-minute look into life during and after the hurricane. The documentary experience features actual accounts of what happened, pulled from diaries and letters from survivors.

Evidence of the Storm Lingers

A walk around Galveston Island, just beyond Bermuda Beach lodging will showcase both the wealth and prosperity that the area is known for, and also signs of disaster and change. Museums in the area provide stunning images and stories about the disastrous storm. There are also historic homes on the island that tell the tale of re-growth.

Fun and Learning on Galveston Island

In addition to a history lesson, Galveston vacation rentals allow you to enjoy family friendly fun. From the beach to the theme parks and attractions, there's something to interest everyone near Bermuda Beach lodging. One stop to check out for fun and history is Seawolf Park. This three-story pavilion offers views of the harbor, a playground, a fishing pier and a World War II submarine and destroyer escort open for tours.
