  • I want her decorator...

"Everything about this house was perfect for our family. We were a group of 17 - 8 adults and 9 kiddos and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. The house is beautifully decorated. I would love to have her eye for decor. Every room was perfect. Would totally recommend and would totally stay again. I didn't deal with the owner - my sister handled all of that, but I was told she was super easy to work with."

  • Perfect Wedding House!

"My husband and I had our wedding in Costa Rica but came home and had our wedding reception in Galveston. After searching for the perfect house, we finally decided on this one and we are so glad we did because it was perfect for us! Plenty of room for everyone, we got beautiful pictures, and the pool was so much fun for the kids. I would say that the tv's could be updated but honestly, we didn't really have time to watch tv anyway haha! Either way, we had a great time and we will most definitely be back again!"

  • Family Vacation

"We stayed at this house afford a family vacation and loved it! The home has beautiful modern upgrades and is very nicely decorated. Stores are nearby and the beach was in walking distance. We cooked our meals, so we enjoyed the very nice kitchen and also used the grill. Would definitely return!"

  • Honeymooner's Delight

"We found this place to be absolutely perfect for us. Location is excellent - turn one way to get to the seawall; turn the other and head towards downtown. The house is perfect for two - comfortable furnishings and off the street parking. We felt very secure at this location as our entrance was gated/locked, as well. We were on our honeymoon. It was the off season but our host and hostess understood we were not there to "live it up" but to enjoy a nice, quiet, leisurely time before we came back home to "reality". The owners are wonderful people. We are not strangers to Galveston, but they gave us ideas of things to do that were more in line of the atmosphere we wanted for this trip. Rosa and Patrick are wonderful proprietors. So thoughtful with the bottle of wine and note of congratulations inside the house waiting for us, to the casual chit chat as we were passing through on our outings - they are warm and caring people. We are definitely wanting to go back to the Mermaid Cottage. It's just a warm and inviting place to stay!!"
