"Great house, everything we needed and wanted and more! Exceeded expectations. Edger the owner was extremely nice professional and accommodating. My family enjoyed our stay within ear shot of the beach. Price was great and it felt like home."

  • Family Vacation

"We stayed at this house afford a family vacation and loved it! The home has beautiful modern upgrades and is very nicely decorated. Stores are nearby and the beach was in walking distance. We cooked our meals, so we enjoyed the very nice kitchen and also used the grill. Would definitely return!"

  • Great for big family!

"OK so you will not have privacy but this house was SO much FUN for our family get together! There was a large dinning table with lots of gathering room around it. A great kitchen stocked with all the cooking utensils, dishes, pots, etc. you could imagine. Very well stocked home as I am sure the owner uses it when it is not rented and she does leave her things. This was helpful as we found a ginormous salad bowl for our big dinner. The men were happy in the TV room off the dinning watching the World Cup and the teens watched movies at night. We did walk to the beach (about 25 min walk) and same to the Strand. There were couches everywhere and we just had family hanging out all over the place but we were really all together in this home. We had such a great weekend the kids are begging to go back! The owner responded quickly to any questions we had and was extra nice. I felt the price was very fair."

  • Great Location

"My Wife suggested a family trip to Galveston so I immediately came to VRBO to find a house. There were 8 adults and my 5 month old as well as my two small dogs. The 2 biggest things that made this house spectacular are the AC units and the Water Heater. I have no idea what the make and model is, but within just about 2 minutes of turning on the AC, you could feel some nice strong COLD air blowing in and cooling off the house. The upstairs has it's own separate unit that works equally well. While either trying to shower or wash dishes, we had HOT water within 30 seconds. It got hot quick. Now for the other bits. Kitchen: Nice and spacious. Open floorplan. There were an adequate number of plates, cups, silverware, etc. The appliances were nice and all worked. Living room: Also open floorplan with seating around the walls and a small coffee table in the middle. Downstairs Bedroom: Ceiling was a bit low compared to rest of house, but otherwise plenty of room for the bed and other things. It's right off the dining room. Upstairs bedrooms: The beds were all nice enough for something that isn't "your bed". The rooms were all ample enough for all of our things. Bathrooms: While the bathrooms were big, there are only 2 of them. So with 8 adults in the house timing was important. It helped that we were all family so nothing ever got awkward. Overall, it was a great place to stay. The whole time it felt like we were at some relatives house. Just a nice family gathering at a nice warm place. Location: This was about the best part. We were able to walk the 0.3 miles to the Pleasure Pier. Sure that's a real touristy place, but it was our first time to visit, so overall nice. Driving to any of the beaches OR the nice shopping part of the Strand is maybe 5 minutes. so even when you have to drive , you still aren't going far. About the only thing not close to the house is a supermarket. BUT, since it's not like we were making constant trips, just the first one upon arrival, it really wasn't that big a deal. Overall: We were all very happy with our stay, and if we ever go back to Galveston, this is a place we would want to stay at again."
