  • Great condo for a multi-family vacation!

"We chose this condo for our summertime family vacation this weekend. It was a wonderful experience! A total of 3 families comfortably fit in the space (4 children under the age of 5 and an 8 month old) plus 7 adults.) Each family had their own spacious room with connecting full bathroom. My mother in law slept on a twin mattress and box spring in the living room with sheets and a comforter that were already in the condo. There is no need to bring a blow up mattress. All of the kids slept in the "kids room" with the bunk beds that they were SO excited about sleeping in. My 2 year old son slept on a twin mattress on the floor of the kids room (also already in the condo). This condo overlooks the ocean and the strand and has a beautiful view. The balcony (also equipped with a hot tub) wraps around the entire condo we loved watching the ocean/waves and the people passing by on their bikes, etc. We visited Pleasure pier which was only a 2 minute drive away. We could've walked but we had small kids so we wanted to get closer. We also went to Moody Gardens which only took us about 15 minutes to get to. The condo had plenty of dishes and cookware, and all of the amenities your home kitchen has. We were able to wash clothes and towels in the washer/dryer combo which was also very nice. During our stay we discovered that the DVD player was broken and after calling the owners, they promptly addressed the issue by getting us an HDMI cable to connect to our computer and the next day they brought us a fully functioning DVD player an our kids were able to watch LEGO movie. The large dining area table was great to eat and play games on. We would definitely rent this condo again in the future."

  • Beautiful house!

"This is a beautifully decorated house and has a great open layout with enough seating for everyone. Loved the giant circle table in the kitchen and the couches in the tv room were great. I was worried that only 1 bathroom upstairs wouldn't be enough but we were able to manage since everyone got up at different times in the morning. The hammock on the patio was definitely a favorite spot to hang out for both the kids and adults. Loved that there was an outdoor shower so we were able to rinse off before heading back upstairs and the elevator was great to for bringing the luggage in & out. The house location is also great. It's not right ON the beach but the walkover to the beach is only a few steps away. It's only about a 2 minute walk. As everyone knows, the seaweed is pretty bad this year but we were able to deal with it. Someone came by one night and bulldozed it away so that was helpful. The house is about a 20-30 min drive into town which wasn't too terrible either. We only had one wish - a pool! :) Would be great to have a house or neighborhood pool but I know that is quite a rarity in the area. Definitely recommend & looking forward to staying here again in the future!"

  • Relaxing vacation

"We loved this house as soon as we saw the pictures online. We have a large family and utilized every bit of space and bed but never felt too crammed. The decks are wonderful and the yard was well kept. I did think the pet fee was a tad steep but at least they were able to come (they love the water) and the downstairs room could have used a little more attention--we found a bottle of lotion in our sheets which made us believe our sheets hadn't been washed and there were cobwebs by the upper bunk bed, making out kids not want to sleep there. But overall this was a great visit and we are considering it again for next year! The drive to town wasn't bad at all and the beach access was great, too. We ate at Nate's just a few minutes away and they were very friendly and accommodating of our group of 20. The house is great!"

  • GREAT RENTAL!!!

"We found this home while looking for something to accommodate two family's. It is one street off of the sea wall so an easy walk to the beach or restaurants. The house itself looks to be built in the 20's or 30's, so the historical aspect was very cool. Inside looks to be professionally decorated and styled. We spent most evenings cooking and playing with the kids in the beautifully landscaped back yard. The home was very clean and seemed well maintained. We would use this property again and recommend it to friends."
