  • Beautiful Home (Close to the Beach)

"Our Family (4 generations) enjoyed this home a lot. It is about a 10-25 minute drive to all of Galveston's attractions. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals. The outside of the home is a little worn but the inside is immaculate. I personally slept on one of the bunk beds and was very comfortable. We enjoyed walking to the beach, watching movies in the living room, playing cards at the table, and watching fireworks (fluke thing) from the balcony. The owner was very helpful and friendly even when we accidentally turned on the security alarm, whoops. The kids bunk room was so nice to have with 3 small children. I think this place deserves 5 stars for the inside alone! (The only qualifier I give is because of the exterior needing some maintenance.) I would gladly stay here again, in a heartbeat."

  • Perfect Wedding House!

"My husband and I had our wedding in Costa Rica but came home and had our wedding reception in Galveston. After searching for the perfect house, we finally decided on this one and we are so glad we did because it was perfect for us! Plenty of room for everyone, we got beautiful pictures, and the pool was so much fun for the kids. I would say that the tv's could be updated but honestly, we didn't really have time to watch tv anyway haha! Either way, we had a great time and we will most definitely be back again!"

  • Perfect getaway from Houston!! The owners have thought of everything!!!

"We needed a brief getaway from Houston and selected this cottage based on reviews. We were not disappointed, everything about the home exceeded our expectations. The manager checked us in and gave us a brief rundown on some of the best local restaurants. The house is clean and wonderfully decorated. AC worked great. We did use their kitchen for one meal and they have thought of everything you might need. Enjoyed having the fenced backyard, both for our dog and for using the grill back there. Would definitely recommend to anyone planning on visiting the island!"

  • A potential nightmare handled perfectly - can't wait to go back!

"We rented this beach house with some friends to have some fun times on the beach during labor day weekend. We were told that check in time was after 4, so my wife and I headed to Galveston and got to the house around 4:30. We walked in, and it was pretty hot - but we figured the AC was just turned on as the cleaning crew left, so we turned down the temp and started putting up our groceries. 6:00 rolled around - still hot. Then 7 - even hotter. 8, 9, 10, 11 - our friends finally got there, and the house was unbearably hot. We had the doors open, and luckily it was a uncharacteristically cold weekend, so the breeze was unbelievable. We spent most of the evening outside, but then bed time came. It was oppressively hot. So hot, that I decided to sleep outside on the deck, until it started monsoon raining outside. So we had to close the doors, making it even hotter inside. The next day, the owners sent over two people to check out the AC unit - both people said they needed a new compressor and it wouldn't happen until after labor day. Jim and Wendy were EXTREMELY accommodating - they tried to find a friend's beach house that was empty, offered to put us up in a hotel, etc. In my opinion, they went above and beyond. We finally found another beach house, and they refunded us the entire trip - including cleaning and everything. They could have made a bad situation so much worse, but they really made it a piece of cake. The house is great too - it's a shame we couldn't stay there all weekend. Plenty big, well cleaned, and super close to the beach. Next time we go to Galveston with friends, we will DEFINITELY be reaching out to Jim and Wendy."

San Luis Travel Tips

San Luis Lodging Expands Your Palate Horizon

If you don't come to Galveston vacation rentals to spend time admiring the beaches or the architecture, perhaps the food will be of interest. With such culinary institutions as Café Michael Burger and Landry's overlooking the ocean, whether watching waves is your thing or not, the food will leave a positive memory. Or, if you have romance on the mind, The Blue Water Grill will leave your date longing for a return trip as soon as possible! With its quiet, intimate, and secluded feel, the seafood will seem secondary in the experience! But if you're longing for a steak to remind you of the mainland that you left behind, then look no further than the quick trip from San Luis lodging to Nate's Westend Seafood & Steaks. They can cook a mean piece of beef while you sip a daiquiri.

Fantasize in Galveston

The breeze that blows through in the evening, as you stroll the lengthy beaches near San Luis lodging, can make you feel as if you're on your own secluded island. Filled with the hint of salt, the scent will remind you of envisioned scenes from Treasure Island. In addition to the soothing scents, sand upon bare feet has known relaxing, therapeutic qualities for most people. San Luis condos can put you close to your childhood pirating fantasies as you survey the ocean at night, watching the blinking lights of ships going by.

Massive Wildlife Refuge Nearby

If you tire of the scenery, and your belly is full, then head to the huge Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge. It's larger than the whole of Galveston island! Here you may see wading birds, waterfowl, or migratory birds, depending on the season. Be on the lookout for sandhill cranes and alligators as well—this is their home! Let San Luis condos be your exodus point!
