  • Perfect place for S. Padre

"I have been going to this very same condo for the last 6 years. The condo is very clean, feels very friendly and warm. I love that the pool is right outside. It as all the amenities you could possibly ask for. It's perfect for a week stay. It really feels like a little piece of heaven. Patra + Warren"

  • Little gem in a great location!

"I was relocating from Louisiana to Houston, and ended up staying at the Zen Apartment for over 3 months. It’s a lovely little apartment with enough basics to get by, and had a safe feeling, which was important as a woman traveling alone. Location was great, and was only a 20 minute drive from Downtown. It’s also close to lots of restaurants and shopping. It was a gem of a place that helped me make the transition to Houston life. On occasion, the elevators broke down, but management usually had someone come in to fix it, and I ended up making the trek up to the 5th floor, or used one of the alternate elevators. They also picked up your garbage every day outside your apartment, if you didn’t want to walk to the trash chute. The gym and pool were also great pluses. I found most of the people living there were professionals, or those with appointments in the medical center. This is a pet friendly apartment building, and never had any issues with noises. The owner was pretty responsive whenever I needed to extend my stay or had any questions. I wouldn’t hesitate to live here again, and actually miss it already. The one thing I wish it had was a desk or table for eating or telecommuting, but other than that, everything else was great! I miss it already!"

  • Holly and Scott Forbes

"We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful condo! The location was perfect for us because it is close to UTMB and downtown. The furnishings, decor, etc was all perfect, and Anita was very attentive and wanted to make sure we were happy! We have stayed at the Palisade Palms before and will definitely stay there again - nothing but good things to say about our stay!!"

  • Wonderful time in South Padre

"My family and I needed to get away (husband/ wife/ toddler/ in-laws). After deciding on going to South Padre, we sought out our specific needs for a vacation rental and we found this condo. The bad news, as our vacation approached, it was 50-80% showers daily. First off, the complex's facilities are secure, safe, and clean. Not only is there a coded gate, but there is security in the evening and cameras. The complex is well maintained, and the landscaping is kept up. There were not a lot of people in the complex while we were there but as it got busier towards the weekend, we still didn't notice any noise. This includes Schlitterbaun being open all day Saturday. The condo is very nice and kept up. It has all the stated amenities, and obviously someone's own and not just a full time rental. The beach is only 60 yards away, and it is also well maintained and clean. We saw crews hit the beach every morning. This is the last complex on the beach so skies the limit on space. No public access around or too many people from the Schlitterbaun resort. We never worried once about setting up our base and leaving. The beach was very fun but also peaceful. It's beautiful in South Padre. No pollution and aqua blue waters. No big waves to keep you out of the water. We hit up the other end of the island with our toddler for a Petting zoo. We went down to the Brownsville zoo as well (truly a great place and much bigger than you would ever expect). HEB and Walmart are less than 10 away in Port Isabel for forgotten essentials. Dirty Al's offers some great local fair. Overall, if we could do anything different, it would have been to eat out less. We will plan to stay in this Condo again on our next adventure to South Padre. Be sure to bring mosquito repellant, there were too many for my liking which made the short walk to the beach a tough one. That is obviously out of the hands of everyone. On other positive notes... The owners were accessible the entire time for questions and obviously wanted us to enjoy our stay. Oh... And that rain, we had a sprinkle for less than 10 min on a single day."
