  • What a great place!

"I stayed here at Port A over a long weekend in the summer of 2014. The Wright Place was awesome with all the comforts of home. The location of the house is great with easy access to the main venues and the beach, but is still mostly quiet because it is set inside a nice neighborhood. Everything inside was nice and well-kept and the beds are amazingly comfortable. The staff is truly helpful and are wonderful to work with. I could not find anything poor with the Wright Place but the inside stairway is a little tight to climb up with luggage in both hands. I definitely will come back and stay here anytime I come back to Port A!"

  • The view, the view

"This was our third time renting this house, twice for an annual family vacation and once for a week during Spring Break. My family has been traveling to Port Aransas for the last 20 years, renting a condo or home every time. Hands down, this is the ONE place we could all emphatically agree on, with no exceptions. The proximity to the beach is superb. A short walk down the boardwalk, and your feet hit the sand of the shore. The balconies (at least one per floor) provide views that are almost impossible to match. The house itself has ample sleeping accommodations, but that is not all. With 6 couples, a teenager, three toddlers, we STILL have room to spread out and relax, without being crammed in like sardines. Every floor has a full sized refrigerator (including kitchenettes), coffee machine, multiple televisions, wifi, silverware, dishes, wine glasses, water glasses, dishes, toasters, corkscrews, convection microwaves, brooms and dustpans, ice machines (top level has an ice maker in the freezer AND a separate ice machine), pitchers, Tupperware...the list goes on and on. Our family has never run short on towels, rags, toilet paper, soap. Never, in all of our travels, have we experienced such thoughtful and generous appointments. This year, they finalized our dream vacation home wish list with a grill and additional patio furniture on the balconies. This is an owner operated property, which allows for personal contact with the owners, should something come up. (One year, we couldn't figure out the wifi, once we had trouble with hurricane latch doors....owners were readily available to assist us with our problems.) Rating this five stars, emphatically."

  • Beautiful home - good location; BUT wifi is horrible.

"This is a great multi-family house. There is a separate apartment on the first floor which is great for a couple/small family who wants privacy. Upstairs in the main quarters are five other bedrooms and baths - so no one has to fight for a bed or bathroom time! The house is literally a hundred steps from the wooden walkway to the beach - it's beautiful, and is next door to the community pool (which is very cold, not heated). The sand on the beach is amazing - very fine and very packed which is great for running on the beach or building sand castles. The one MAJOR disadvantage of this house is the very unreliable wifi - completely out most of the time despite our efforts to reset it/unplug it. We ended up relying on a neighbor's weak signal and our own MiFi. Also, the house does not have ANY shampoo, salt, spices, oil, etc. No food stuffs of any kind so be prepared to bring or buy (fortunately the IGA is well stocked and about a mile away)"

  • Great home away from home!

"My family visited Port Aransas the weekend of 6/20/14. The house is great and met all of our needs. Great patio to sit out on and plenty of space for all. The dogs loved it because there was plenty of space for them to roam. 3rd floor deck area is a great place to sit at night. We stayed here last year and we noticed many upgrades to the property since our last visit. Will definitely come back."
