  • Beautiful home - good location; BUT wifi is horrible.

"This is a great multi-family house. There is a separate apartment on the first floor which is great for a couple/small family who wants privacy. Upstairs in the main quarters are five other bedrooms and baths - so no one has to fight for a bed or bathroom time! The house is literally a hundred steps from the wooden walkway to the beach - it's beautiful, and is next door to the community pool (which is very cold, not heated). The sand on the beach is amazing - very fine and very packed which is great for running on the beach or building sand castles. The one MAJOR disadvantage of this house is the very unreliable wifi - completely out most of the time despite our efforts to reset it/unplug it. We ended up relying on a neighbor's weak signal and our own MiFi. Also, the house does not have ANY shampoo, salt, spices, oil, etc. No food stuffs of any kind so be prepared to bring or buy (fortunately the IGA is well stocked and about a mile away)"

  • Parrish Review

"We have stayed at other units in this same complex and this one did not disappoint. Owners are quick to respond and the condo was neat and clean. Would recommend anyone to stay here."

  • Beautiful, spacious and clean condo!

"This was a great condo for our family with young children. It was clean, plenty of space with seating and TV in almost every room. The kitchen was great to use and cook in for our large family. The condo was well stocked which makes you feel at home and gives you more time to enjoy your vacation instead of having to run to the store. Plenty of towels and large clean bathrooms. Definitely making this our IT condo for all future port aransas trips! :)"

  • This house was an amazing home

"I have to say that this home was amazing. Myself and 13 other family members stayed at this home that could accommodate many more than were in our group. The home is spacious and has an awesome game room. There were multiple places with lawn/chair seating outside to include a large BBQ pit. Home was very clean and there were plenty of towels. The kitchen was fully equipped, better than any other VRBO home that I have stayed in to include a washer, dryer, ice maker, flat screen TV's, etc. The homeowner, Melanie, was very easy to contact and very accommodating and easy to work with, which is a sale in itself. This home is very close to the beach, grocery store and restaurants. Plenty of parking space was available, even a garage to park in if needed. I highly recommend this home to others."

They'll lead you on a tour, explaining each of the exhibits and answer any questions you have about the more than 12,000 documents and photos archived here, along with artifacts, oral histories and movies of Port Aransas in the 1920s. Exhibits like "Great Winds" and "High Water" bring to light natural disasters that have rocked Texas, and other displays include the Fourth Order Fresnel lens that was on top of the Lydia Ann Lighthouse from 1878 through 1952, and more.
