  • Spring Break 2015

"Overall the House was perfect for our needs. 3 bedrooms, let everyone have their own space. We had a sick family so it was comfortable enough with TV and internet to get the kids through their grumps. The beach view was terrific. We spent as much time on the deck as we could. Having a table on the upper deck would have made this better. Having the stairwell under the main room made our rainy days easy. This deck and stairwell was very well planned out. The kitchen was well stocked and we loved the spacious island. The family room couches were very comfortable. But there was no coffee table, so we had to use some of our coolers for drinks etc. Plenty of sheets and towels for use. It made things easy. I would suggest that they have a talk with their maid service. If they are paying for anything close to what I pay for mine, Ellen isn't getting her money's worth. The property was a beach house. And I understand it takes more to maintain due to salt and sand. That being said, It was nice to have everything right there for your needs. Especially the washer dryer. The beach was nice. Different beach culture. Interesting to watch the golf carts and trucks. My eldest did have his flip flop sandals taken from one of the dudes in a gold cart. Really not sure how you can see a person right there and just take them. We walked at least 2x a day fog or no fog. It was really nice. Galveston was interesting but very low key. Skip Moody gardens unless you have really little kids. The flight museum was neat with lots of WW2 planes. We didn't do pleasure pier but it looked hopping. We did have a hard time finding restaurants that seemed a little more upscale. So we ended up cooking every night but one. Ellen was terrific in giving suggestions for the grocery store. The close places are really expensive and the Chevron station has the closest best "medicine" for sick people. Kroegers in town was awesome. Tons to choose from. Thanks again. I hope we can go back soon."

  • Huge house, great beach and views!

"Karol the leasing agent is wonderful! Super nice and very accommodating. We live in Houston and often make last minute trips down to this house and neighborhood many times during peak season. The Neighborhood is quite and safe (police patrol enough that we have come to know some of the officers we visit so much), beach is clean and we rent here several times a year. This is a large house with 3 bed rooms up stairs and one bath up stairs, the two huge bedrooms and one bath down stairs. It's nice to not have to claim stairs every time you run back from the beach to go to the bathroom. One of the down stairs bedrooms is so big, it slept my brother, his wife and four kids and tons of luggage with plenty of room! Karol also leases another home in the same Neighborhood (that is smaller and cheaper) stated that how many times to you to!! This house has 3 bedrooms and one bath. The porch faces then gulf and his huge. They also have a baby lock gate to the tall stairs leading up/down to the house, which is great when you have smaller children like us!! the down stairs has a picnic table, lots of chairs, swing and BBQ pit to roast marsh mellows or cook burgers. We have blown lots of bubbles, had water ballon fights and great drinks after the kids go to bed down! We have a 3yr and celebrated her last two birthdays Acapulco Village and several other family members as well birthdays as well. The pantry is full of condiments, plates, paper towels, etc that each guest leaves behind so if you forget something it might be in the pantry. There is a small grocery store 1min. away that we shop at multiple times during Stay. They have ice, food, water, beer and the essentials needed for a beach weekend get away or long vacation. They even have beach wear, sunblock, clothing, water shoes and beach toys (now they are kind of pricey on these items so I suggest going 15 minutes into town to Walmart if you need lots of these things and food). If your looking for a great time, nice beach, affordable, nice leasing agents and nice BIG house, look no further!!! Can't wait to get back down there in March 2015."

  • Nice Getaway

"Stayed here on numerous occasions, with it being a great experience each time. Nice clean house, quiet neighborhood, plenty of parking, and close to all the sights. We have never had any issue with Rosie, and she definitely is customer service oriented! This has been, and will continue to be our go to overnight place in Galveston!"

  • Well equipped and comfortable Galveston retreat

"Looking down from the spacious balcony at breathtaking landscaping surrounding the turquoise blue island pull with swim up bar, I was reminded of trips to the Caribbean. But this was lovely Galveston Island. Never before had my wife and I rented a condo that was so totally equipped. No slogging sheets and towels, soap and paper products, up the stairs for our weekend stay. It was all there, including coffee! Sure, we brought the wine and beer and groceries. But if we had wanted to eat out for the weekend, we could have arrived with swimsuits, a change of clothes, and our toothbrushes. The beach towels were even provided. It was clean and well maintained. If the neighbors staying above us had not been bowling or lifting weights or whatever they were doing that made so much noise the first night, I would rate this with five stars. But that is certainly out of the control of the owners who stood ready to help out at a moment's notice. Most certainly, Theresa and I will never rent a condo from anybody else in Galveston."
