  • Great time exploring the Rockport area

"Enjoyed our week stay at this property. Once you figure out the main roads, the area is easy to navigate. Opportunities to fish, bike, spend time at the beach -- all are readily accessible. Be sure to wear sunscreen as even cloudy days can give you lots of sun exposure! Enjoyed sitting on the dock or deck and looking out over the lake. Being able to grill became our regular nightly ritual. If you don't catch something on a fishing trip, Rockport has lots of places to select a fresh catch of the day. The whole set up is great! Definitely would like to return!"

  • What a Great House

"This is a beautiful house, and one of its best features is a dumbwaiter to tote all your stuff upstairs for you. OMG, it was great. We had a little issue when we arrived trying to get in, but that was solved quickly enough. Very nice to have an actual garage to leave your stuff in, too, and even nicer when packing up and it's raining. The gas grill was a little on the "scary" side (there was stuff growing on the grills) but since we always bring our own charcoal Portable Kitchen it was not a big deal. Lots of amenities (the jacuzzi in the MB did not work, but there is an enormous great shower), beds were very comfortable, and what a HUGE television. Kitchen is one of the best we've experienced in our rentals, though the ice maker in the fridge needs some love. The bar sink was a fabulous bonus that made prep and clean up a breeze. The only real complaint we had was the mosquitoes (certainly not the property's fault), and after we bought a bottle of Cutter and sprayed the back lawn (which could have used mowing) they mostly went away. Under the pier light at night there were hundreds of feeding trout; it was crazy to watch them. My sister even caught redfish and trout in the canal across the street! I would highly recommend this house to anyone - it's a keeper, for sure."

"Family (6 adults, 4 children ages 4 to 11) fit comfortably in this well- provided, clean, week-end home. We stayed 8 days and were never bored. Great spot for walking, biking, day trips, beach-going, restaurants, shops, grocery store, etc Bird watchers, fishing and hunting parties with lots of gear would find this an ideal spot. We shall return."
