"We hosted my mother-in-law and father-in-law's 50th Wedding Anniversary here. Let me say first, the pictures, while beautiful, really don't do this property justice! We had the full 16 sleeping in the house with several others to visit over the course of our stay. The bedrooms were fantastic, with a great range of accommodations - 1 bed, 2 beds, 1 bed and a pull out sofa, etc... The kitchen was great to work in, lots of pantry space, which was important to us, as we did a lot of cooking at home. The grounds were beautiful and we had many wildlife friends visit: herds of deer- literally just feet away, a young raccoon who scared himself more often than we did, a fox, and a civet cat. The kids in our party were beside themselves at all the wildlife! But the thing I loved best about the property, was the really obvious care that had been taken to accommodate a large party. It wasn't that there were enough beds to hold 16 people...the eating space was arranged and stocked in such a way that 16 people could be together for dinner (the table had 10 chairs, but there were counter stools and bar stools to be pulled over) The living room didn't just hold 16 people, 16+ people could sit comfortably in the room and visit (2 large sofas, a love seat, huge ottoman/stool and numerous arm chairs) The outdoor spaces in particular had multiple seating spaces that could hold 30+ people easily (several tables with plentiful numbers of chairs, deck chairs and love seats around a fire pit, elegant and rustic stone benches, flower beds edged in raised stone walls) It was really designed and crafted with keeping large groups feeling connected. I haven't even mentioned the separate upstairs common room and kitchenette. Really, if you have a large group or even a small group, but would like some space, this house is ideal. You won't be disappointed! Just an aside, my mother-in-law has some special physical needs and uses a scooter to get around. The front entrance won't accommodate a scooter, but a short trip around the back (it slopes up in the back, whereas the front has a step) and entry is easy through the large sliding door. The 1st floor easily allowed her to move around in her scooter - even the kitchen with the slightest maneuvering."
