  • Great Place - perfect for reunions and get-together

"We stayed during the memorial weekend along with 6 families and had one of the memorable long weekend. These are two separate houses with a common game/bar room. It is extremely spacious and well kept. We were about 24 people including couple of toddlers. Everyone had a great time and particularly enjoyed the huge backyard facing Lake Dunlap. The owner is extremely nice and helpful . We got locked out once and the owner came within short time to help us unlock the door. Cathy from property management company "Vacation river rentals" is extremely helpful and always available even during weekends."

  • Oak House -Spring Break Getaway

"My husband and I were there with our teenage age daughter and her friends to enjoy the last few days of spring break. It was very enjoyable and the homeowners have provided all kinds of games, pool table, card table, etc.- something for everyone to have fun. The lake was quiet and had it been warmer, it may have been fun to swim in. We brought a little raft and the girls had fun with that - sunning on the rocks and fishing off the rocks. Very quiet and relaxing! No loud parties allowed, there is a noise curfew. I suggest you bring a fire pit to enjoy in the evenings as this house didn't have one. Homeowners were always available by phone to answer any questions."

  • Vacation Rental

"This property is so cozy and fun. It is filled with beautiful antiques. We spent a lot of time just walking from room to room admiring everything. It's stocked with everything you would need to run a household including a nice new crockpot and beautiful BBQ and there was a nice bottle of red wine waiting for us when we arrived. There is a horse shoe pit outside and a play area for children. We truly felt like we were visiting family. We can't wait to go back!! :)"

  • Terrific experience

"I've had an incredibly pleasant experience while renting this cozy place. It was very close to various great restaurants and it was located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood, yet very close to downtown. The owner provided great customer service while being available any time of the day for any possible issues. Her communication skills and enthusiastic personality made every interaction very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this studio to friends or relatives."

Austin Travel Tips

Awesome Austin Rentals for Vacation

The capitol of Texas is Austin and rightly so. It seems to be the center of everything which is probably why Austin rentals are so popular. Though it is also a college town with a strong alternative culture, Austin vacation rentals offer so much for the whole family. Austin lodging in the Texas Hill Country will really open your eyes to a different kind of lifestyle.

Where Are Austin Vacation Rentals?

The city is comprised of different districts, each offering something unique and plenty of Austin rentals. The districts are Downtown, East Austin, Northwest Austin, South Austin, UT & the Drag, Hyde Park, and North Loop. You can access the city, and therefore Austin vacation rentals, by car, train, plane, or bus. Also, getting around is not too difficult either. If you do not have a car and there is good weather, walking and biking are great ways to see the city.

Film Culture near Austin Rentals

Perhaps because it is a college town, Austin is home to many film festivals and cultural events. So, booking Austin rentals any time of year will probably afford you the opportunity to participate in some of these events. Some noteworthy film festivals held in town include the SXSW (South-by-Southwest) Film Festival, the Austin Film Festival, the Austin Bicycle Film Festival, and several more. Go ahead, catch an indie film and enjoy yourself.

Bats Need Austin Lodging Too

One thing that you should not miss while in town is the Austin bats. Yes, Austin lodging is not just for humans as almost 2 million Mexican free-tailed bats have made their home in the capitol city. In fact, the Congress Avenue Bridge is where you can see most of these bats, which is quite close to many Austin vacation rentals. Every evening, at dusk, the bats are active (usually from March to November).
