  • Secluded and Peaceful!

"Such a lovely little place. Stayed with 4 other friends (pull out bed was very helpful!), we were able to completely unwind and settle into the rustic vibe of the cabin. There's plenty of land to explore, and even a couple of friendly donkeys that came to hang out. In a really nice part of Texas; gives you a great view and takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The owners were incredibly accommodating and sweet! We will absolutely be back when we're looking for another little adventure."

  • THE NEW SOUTHERN COMFORT

"Everything good in a lakehouse you could ask for. Pics don't do it justice. #1 Super parking! Room for cars AND trailers. #2 House is spacious with big kitchen/work area, dining, and living all together in open plan plus this opens to sun porch/additional sleeping area. #3 Easy cleanup tile floors, nice bathrooms, good AC. #4 SUPER water: Fab cove for beginner skiiers, tube riders, etc. + FAB covered boat dock with concrete floor (no splinters!), boat lift, jet skii parking, and great wildlife watching. Plus a misting system for those really hot days and stereo -- very fine! Mamas floating on the tubes and kids swimming, skiing, tubing. Too lazy to fish but we saw big ones! #5 Fenced yard for kids/pets. What more could you ask? Nothing we could think of!"

  • Wonderful Spot to Unwind!

"We had a great time here! The house is warm and inviting. Just what the doctor ordered for our Mother/Daughter weekend get-a-way. We sat and talked under the covered patio area, grilled steaks, played games, made Christmas treats, watched Bama beat LSU, fished (caught a decent sized bass!), and most of all - relaxed. It was an awesome weekend. Thanks for the hospitality!"

  • Rosemarie Herold on behalf of Carolyn Floyd's group

"We had a group of 8 women stay at this house and it was wonderful. The house is clean and extremely well equipped. We did have some problems with the media room, but the property managers were very responsive to our needs. The only issue we had was with the lighting in the bathrooms. It is pretty low which makes for difficulty when applying make-up, etc. The sunrises in the morning were spectacular and we had a wonderful time there. Thank you"

Austin Travel Tips

Awesome Austin Rentals for Vacation

The capitol of Texas is Austin and rightly so. It seems to be the center of everything which is probably why Austin rentals are so popular. Though it is also a college town with a strong alternative culture, Austin vacation rentals offer so much for the whole family. Austin lodging in the Texas Hill Country will really open your eyes to a different kind of lifestyle.

Where Are Austin Vacation Rentals?

The city is comprised of different districts, each offering something unique and plenty of Austin rentals. The districts are Downtown, East Austin, Northwest Austin, South Austin, UT & the Drag, Hyde Park, and North Loop. You can access the city, and therefore Austin vacation rentals, by car, train, plane, or bus. Also, getting around is not too difficult either. If you do not have a car and there is good weather, walking and biking are great ways to see the city.

Film Culture near Austin Rentals

Perhaps because it is a college town, Austin is home to many film festivals and cultural events. So, booking Austin rentals any time of year will probably afford you the opportunity to participate in some of these events. Some noteworthy film festivals held in town include the SXSW (South-by-Southwest) Film Festival, the Austin Film Festival, the Austin Bicycle Film Festival, and several more. Go ahead, catch an indie film and enjoy yourself.

Bats Need Austin Lodging Too

One thing that you should not miss while in town is the Austin bats. Yes, Austin lodging is not just for humans as almost 2 million Mexican free-tailed bats have made their home in the capitol city. In fact, the Congress Avenue Bridge is where you can see most of these bats, which is quite close to many Austin vacation rentals. Every evening, at dusk, the bats are active (usually from March to November).
