  • Great Location, Great Apartment!

"Craig and Elaine were wonderful hosts and have a lovely apartment! We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and the kitchen was stocked with anything we could need. The patio was a perfect place for breakfast and was surprisingly private. The off street parking was wonderful, but we didn't move the car much. This apartment is very centrally located so we were able to walk quite a bit. The apartment was very clean and comfortable for 2 people. When I booked the property I loved that it was right on 6th street but not right on top of all the bars and night life. I like to be close enough to walk to it but return home and get a good night's sleep. There is a great restaurant next door, Z'Tejas and just beyond that was a bakery we bought breakfast a couple times and returned back to the patio to enjoy with tea and coffee. We were just 8 minutes drive from the bats, walked to restaurants/bars/shops, walked to the Whole Foods and were 15 minutes drive from The Broken Spoke (had to learn to 2 step in Texas). It was also convenient to hop on the highway to Hill Country. If we are in Austin again I would definitely book this property a second time."

  • Great Location

"Annual girls trip and this year we chose Austin. Found this condo, great location. Walked almost everywhere we wanted to go and if not the covered/gated parking was a plus. Comfortable furnishings and very quiet."

  • Wonderful Getaway!

"Amy and Todd were absolutely wonderful and their apartment was perfect! The location is great (easy access to I-35 and about a 30 minute walk to the South Congress area). Amy and Todd were easy to work with throughout the reservation process, and they were extremely accommodating throughout the stay. The apartment was better than the pictures showed and the little touches were fantastic. This is the only place that I would want to stay in Austin and I look forward to another stay in the future. Great job Amy and Todd!"

  • Had a great stay in Austin.

"We loved the condo and will stay again next time we are in Austin. Location is great. Close to downtown but not busy. Grounds and pool are quit and well kept. The codo was spotless and in great shape. Kitchen had all the necessisary pots, pans, coffee maker, etc. Beds were comfortable, even the pull out was nice. Owner, Stephanie, was very accommodating. Overall great experience."

Austin Travel Tips

Awesome Austin Rentals for Vacation

The capitol of Texas is Austin and rightly so. It seems to be the center of everything which is probably why Austin rentals are so popular. Though it is also a college town with a strong alternative culture, Austin vacation rentals offer so much for the whole family. Austin lodging in the Texas Hill Country will really open your eyes to a different kind of lifestyle.

Where Are Austin Vacation Rentals?

The city is comprised of different districts, each offering something unique and plenty of Austin rentals. The districts are Downtown, East Austin, Northwest Austin, South Austin, UT & the Drag, Hyde Park, and North Loop. You can access the city, and therefore Austin vacation rentals, by car, train, plane, or bus. Also, getting around is not too difficult either. If you do not have a car and there is good weather, walking and biking are great ways to see the city.

Film Culture near Austin Rentals

Perhaps because it is a college town, Austin is home to many film festivals and cultural events. So, booking Austin rentals any time of year will probably afford you the opportunity to participate in some of these events. Some noteworthy film festivals held in town include the SXSW (South-by-Southwest) Film Festival, the Austin Film Festival, the Austin Bicycle Film Festival, and several more. Go ahead, catch an indie film and enjoy yourself.

Bats Need Austin Lodging Too

One thing that you should not miss while in town is the Austin bats. Yes, Austin lodging is not just for humans as almost 2 million Mexican free-tailed bats have made their home in the capitol city. In fact, the Congress Avenue Bridge is where you can see most of these bats, which is quite close to many Austin vacation rentals. Every evening, at dusk, the bats are active (usually from March to November).
