  • Girl's weekend

"Great house - beautiful outdoor areas - even though it rained while we were there, the house was perfect for the six of us that went for a long weekend - we would definitely stay there again on next girls trip!"

  • Great location, helpful owner, comfortable and centrally located

"Loved it! Just wrapped up a lovely 6 night stay at this apartment for ACL. Very convenient as it's 2 blocks from 6th street and close to the great nightlife Austin has to offer. The owner was super responsive and helpful. The beds are very comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed for simple meals when eating in. Was perfect for us - two adult couples - to share and would definitely stay here again."

  • PERFECT & BEAUTIFUL home away from home!

"We came to Austin for our daughter's college graduation weekend. Many people flew in from out of town and this was a PERFECT hosting site for the BBQ, graduation party & Mother's Day brunch. Even though it was VERY muggy & hot this weekend, the myriad of outdoor/indoor fans, shade from beautiful trees, plenty of outdoor/indoor seating areas and large covered porch allowed over 35 people to come & go throughout the afternoon - never feeling cramped one bit! As others have reviewed, the pictures do not do this property justice. It was the perfect setting and location for us. We had a wonderful weekend. The house had everything we needed from linens, towels to cookware. The property was extremely clean. All of us early risers relished the peaceful back yard with comfy plush outdoor chairs, coffee & books. Note the "fire pit" is strictly decoration & does not turn on. The BBQ grill is HUGE and was perfect for our larger gathering. If anyone wants food catered, we used Stiles BBQ in Austin. OMG ... Fabulous and they delivered food with all utensils and serving items. DO BE QUITE AFTER 10pm in this neighborhood. We were hushing all our visitors and moved our gathering inside after 10pm, didn't want neighbors to call cops & get evicted. If only they could have heard our laughter from inside, they would have wanted to join us :) The property manager, Stacey, was most helpful in answering every question and concern we had. I would 100% recommend this house for anyone coming to Austin."

  • Everything we needed and wanted

"My wife and I visited Austin for a ten-day Christmas vacation with our two adult children. This rental provided us with a terrific base. The house was spacious -- plenty of privacy, with three bedrooms and two baths. The kitchen was very well appointed (tons of cooking utensils, pots, pans, plates, toasters, all of that). There was good internet service, which was great, because all of us were poking away at laptops and iPads and smartphones. The beds were very comfortable, and there were plenty of towels. There was also a very convenient washer and dryer. The house is located in what I would consider a quiet, working-class family area. It's a very easy walk to the parks along Lady Bird Lake and the shops and restaurants along Cesar Chavez Street, the main drag through East Austin. (There are some food trucks along East Austin and East Sixth Street that are world class -- you have to check out Vera Cruz and East Side Kings.) The more high-end restaurants are further away. Though there are many places walkable from the house, I'd strongly recommend having a car. Getting downtown is about a mile and a half, and you have to pass under I-35. Getting to downtown, to the LBJ Library, to University of Texas, and to the South Congress Street restaurants are all very quick ten- or fifteen-minute drives -- but most days, you wouldn't want to walk that far. (Then again, we were there in the winter, and it was on the chilly side most days, so that may have influenced our decision to drive.) You'll also need a car to get to supermarkets. (Don't miss the experience of going to the Whole Foods downtown!) The owner was very accommodating and easy to deal with. And I'll mention that the backyard seemed very nice and spacious, but the weather didn't lend itself to our using it much. We'd be happy to return in the future. And Austin is a great town that you can to to time and time again!"
