  • Views were spectacular on the drive in from Kerrville and at the cabin itself!

"There were five of us that stayed at the house and we had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the fireplace in the evening. We left and hiked at Lost Maples on Tuesday and had plenty of time for my husband to come back and use the kayak to fish on the river. The realtor who is handling the leasing of the house is not available on the weekends and does not return calls or texts quickly or efficiently - we were loading the last two bags into our truck to leave and she called to say that she had not gotten our lease agreement and waiver."

  • Engagement Party

"This house was fantastic! Not only was the house pristine, but it was big enough and had enough seating for everyone to move and sit comfortably. We had 5 couples stay in the house, and never had a problem with parking or space in the house. It was a little chilly for the pool that weekend, so unfortunately we didn't get to use it, but the view in the backyard was great. Everyone that came into the house asked me where I found it and had nothing but positive things to say. Worth noting - the house is stocked with a few rolls of paper towels and a few trash bags, so bring your own if you are staying a while! We couldn't find the trash bags, and Cathy had someone sent over since she wasn't in town. AMAZING customer service even after we checked out - an item was left behind, and Cathy has stayed in touch to make sure it got back to us. I would absolutely recommend this property and renter to anyone looking for a great location and the comforts of home on their next getaway!"

  • Might just be the prettiest place in the Texas Hill Country

"I still can't believe this place exists. I've lived and worked and camped all across the hill country all my life and there is no other place like this one. The owners have spent 19 years grooming this property. On the mile of private river frontage there is zero cactus, no loose rock. Just giant elms and sycamore trees and smooth grass. The place looks like a park. You can play football along the river. There are hiking trails, off road trails, caves to explore, natural springs bubbling up out of the ground, campsites, lookouts, canyons, scavenger hunting maps, tree maps, shooting ranges. There is a magnificent lodge on the river. The San Saba river no less. In all the Texas Hill Country there is no prettier river than the San Saba. It's crystal clear. Everything was first rate - everything we needed was provided to us. You are 10 minutes from town but 1000 miles from stress. What an unbelievable property."
