  • 2nd time here/minor critique

"We enjoyed this location many years ago and were happy to choose it again with another group of friends. The 2 fridges in the kitchen are great and we definitely used all that space. We were disappointed that neither of the 2 coffee makers worked. A disposal would be a nice addition. We remembered a hammock and saw the hooks, but there wasn't one this time. The spaciousness inside and out is nice. We didn't feel cramped for space at all. The big covered deck upstairs was great in the rain."

  • Cabin retreat for the weary travelers

"My husband and I recently moved to the area and choose the cabin for our home base while search for a house. We were extremely pleased at the accommodations. The cabin's great view, the wonderful kitchen set-up and the super nice neighborhood (not to mention really nice neighbors too) totally made us feel at home. We found the local HEB and our jaws dropped at the selections there. I highly recommend the "It's All That" BBQ restaurant close to the cabin. We loved the hot tub and the fireplace and we used both while there as the temperature was swinging between high 60's and down into the 20 and 30's (January weather). The photos are totally accurate. We'll try to make it back to try some of the activities close to there on the next stay. The owners were reachable and easy to deal with. I highly recommend their place for visitors to the area."

  • Great Location, Great Apartment!

"Craig and Elaine were wonderful hosts and have a lovely apartment! We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and the kitchen was stocked with anything we could need. The patio was a perfect place for breakfast and was surprisingly private. The off street parking was wonderful, but we didn't move the car much. This apartment is very centrally located so we were able to walk quite a bit. The apartment was very clean and comfortable for 2 people. When I booked the property I loved that it was right on 6th street but not right on top of all the bars and night life. I like to be close enough to walk to it but return home and get a good night's sleep. There is a great restaurant next door, Z'Tejas and just beyond that was a bakery we bought breakfast a couple times and returned back to the patio to enjoy with tea and coffee. We were just 8 minutes drive from the bats, walked to restaurants/bars/shops, walked to the Whole Foods and were 15 minutes drive from The Broken Spoke (had to learn to 2 step in Texas). It was also convenient to hop on the highway to Hill Country. If we are in Austin again I would definitely book this property a second time."

  • A Wonderful Getaway

"We had a wonderful time. I agree with everything Kathy said. We would have loved to have been able to get to the hot tub easier. It was a rough road to the hot tub and for "seniors" it was a challenge. Lighting, flourscent paint or something would have helped us find it easier. All in all we were very impressed with the quality of this vacation rental."
