"My husband and I stayed at Fire Fly last weekend. I had been admiring this cottage and the one next door (Dragon Fly) during several previous trips to Fredericksburg but didn't know who owned them or how to go about renting them. Then I stumbled upon them on VRBO and booked immediately. They are really awesome and very comfortable. We had a fire both nights and also enjoyed sitting on the porches. Pat is very nice and is a builder in the area so he put his heart into this cottage. The only reason I am giving it 4-stars is we couldn't figure out the TV or the WiFi but I mentioned it to Pat and I am sure he will get that settled for future renters. Very close to Main street but a block or so off so as to not be too busy."

"My family frequents the Guadalupe for summer vacations. This condo was rented for a girls weekend and, oh my, it was PERFECT! The owner was a pleasure to work with. The condo was in immaculate condition and very well accommodated. Plus, it was SUPER cute! The location was awesome and the pools were a blast! We ran into several other owners while staying and they were all super friendly. It was truly a treat! :)"

"Our famiy of 7 adults and 5 preschoolers recently stayed at Casa Rio Vista for an extended Memorial Day weekend. The mini ranch is in a beautiful setting with a fabulous view of the Pedernales from a pretty gazebo on the property. We were unable to take advantage of the boat ramp and river because there was a storm and flood in the Hill Country during our stay. Even during the heavy rain we did not lose power and always felt safe in the home. We really enjoyed the pool and gazebo when the weather permitted. There was plenty of room in the main house and guest house, but we did not feel comfortable using the 7th bedroom attached to the garage due to the odor. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of linens. It was nice to have access to a washer/dryer.
Our stay was not free of some problems - TV reception in ony one room, Jenn air stove not working correctly, no propane in the grill tank, fire ants on the playground. The owner responded to our concerns and attempted to remedy our problems. Even with the problems we encountered, we had a great time at this property and would return in the future."
