  • Perfect for events, family or private getaway!

"Back again! We had a Saturday wedding in Oct. with about 70 guests (far more than we originally expected) and family members stayed on the property in the days leading to the wedding. EVERYBODY loved this place. The owner was extremely helpful from day one. She had suggestions for table & chair rental, port-a-can rental, etc. and she even left a welcome gift basket! She was more than happy to accommodate us and show us the ropes. Now the logistics: the beds were comfortable (very important) and the beds can comfortably sleep 8-10 people (Downstairs: 2 bedrooms with full beds, Jack & Jill bath tub/toilet and private vanity rooms + guest bathroom with shower accessible for all guests; Upstairs: private master with full bed and bath with tub and shower (this bathtub has a great view), bedroom with two twin beds (one is a trundle) and a couch/bed in the common game area. Notice I said the BEDS can sleep 8-10. In addition, the house has blow-up mattresses and there’s plenty of space for them. The HOUSE can definitely sleep more than 8 depending on couple, single, kid ratio. The kitchen is well stocked along with coffee maker (very important too). Now for outside: beautiful and fitting for every member of the family! Wake up and enjoy a cup o’ joe on the porch swing, let the dogs go for a swim, do a bit of fishing, take a walk and visit the neighbor’s horses and pet dear (this little dear made friends with my mom’s Chihuahua and really likes apples!). My list could go on and on. If you’re looking for a city with a lot of night life and things to do, this is not your place. This is a dream home on secluded, quiet property and is the perfect getaway. Our friends are already discussing a group trip. I can’t wait to go back and take advantage of the FANTASTIC library this house has to offer. I really just can’t wait to go back in general. If you’re thinking of hosting a wedding here, you can’t go wrong. We experienced rain (that’s good luck, right?) but I still think it was perfect. Many guests brought tents and stayed the night after the wedding, taking advantage of music and s’mores around the fire, great outdoor surround sound, drinks, games, etc. I feel like I can’t write a review that will do this place the justice it deserves. Thank you for sharing this wonderful home!"

  • Awesome home for family get together

"We celebrated the Thanksgiving holiday with our family and friends. We easily slept 6, and could have slept 2 more by using the sofa bed. The home was well stocked (thank you!) and clean. Our poodle was also welcome, and the house was perfect for her too. LOVED the view from the deck, and the fire pit was a huge hit. Wished it was summer and we could have enjoyed the water - maybe next time!"

  • Friends weekend!

"Me and 14 friends stayed here for a weekend, and this property exceeded expectations on every level! There was plenty of space to spread out, no one felt cramped at all. Beautiful decor with a very rustic feel, but with updated appliances and fixtures. There's a huge fire pit on the side of the main cabin that can fit 20 people around it, which was great for the chilly evenings. It's very close (about 3 mi) to the Hidden Falls Adventure Park, so we went out there and drove four wheelers and hung out all day, then came back for a nice cookout at the house. The best part was that you can entertain and have fun in the main cabin, but if people choose to call it a night, the two sleeping cabins are completely separate. The kitchen is huge and there's plenty of room, we easily cooked breakfast and dinner for 15 without any issues. There's a propane grill outside on the pretty patio next to the outdoor dining table as well. Honestly, the pictures don't do it justice, you have to see the place in person to really appreciate how beautiful it is. Nancy the host is extremely accommodating, and quick with her replies. She made the whole thing a breeze, and we didn't have a single complaint the whole time we stayed. Will return soon hopefully! Thanks, Nancy!"
