  • Nice 4 bedroom home in western part of Austin

"Nice clean house in good neighborhood. Good outside deck and very good modern kitchen. Owners are easy to deal with. Close to Texas 71 with easy 20- minute to the Austin Airport."

  • Well worth it!!!!

"My family and I had a wonderful time!! The house was great and the pool and spa were amazing. The view from the deck was awesome. We really enjoyed all the deer. We did meet Mr. Ray Bacon and enjoyed our visit with him. The house was in good condition. We had a boat with us and the boat ramp was so easy to get into and out of. We would surely recommend this rental to anyone. Our only complaint was the beds were not very comfortable but we made it. We are seriously considering renting this house again next summer for the same time as it worked wonderfully for our family. We really got our exercise using all the steps but they were well worth it."

  • I want to live here!

"We have been all over the USA during the past 3 months (on a road trip) staying in a combination of private properties (VRBO), hotels and motels and Texas was our 25th state. Our attempt to enjoy a restful two week vacation within a vacation, in busy Austin, may not have worked out so well if we had not found this gem of a property. This is easily the place where we have felt the most relaxed, comfortable and pleased with ourselves because we chose it. The 15-20 minute walk to the main drag on 6th and the quaint bars on Rainey Street is an ideal distance because allows you to party in town till the early hours and then retreat to the oasis of tranquillity that is the area surrounding this house. Perfect for those next day hangovers unless tweeting birds seriously annoy you. The tastefully furnished house has been covered in other reviews and I will just say that the look of the house from street level is really deceiving as the inside space is huge with what is virtually a whole separate apartment on the lower level (kitchen upstairs). Sharon is a most helpful and thoughtful owner who kindly left a selection of local Texas beers in the fridge for our arrival and it was a pleasure to rent from such a considerate lady. If I am ever lucky enough to take a vacation in Austin in the future I will be disappointed if this place is not available but I will understand why. n.b. There are other things to do in Austin than drink alcohol."

  • Amazing Summer Memories

"Our stay at River Haven was awesome. I took my daughter and grandsons for a "family time" vacation. The grandsons quickly turned the guest house into a "man cave" and lacked for nothing. We enjoyed fishing from the pier and playing Bocci ball on the beautiful lawn. We had everything we needed at our fingertips, except something to inflate our tubes. Carlos had someone there with an air compressor in 10 minutes. All the floats were filled and we were in the river in no time! It's the perfect place to make family memories."
