Recent Hill Country property reviews

  • Excellent location, beautiful home, amazing owner

"Absolutely loved staying here. Went with my boyfriend for my birthday and couldn't have chosen a better place. The location is perfect - walking distance to both South Congress and Downtown. It's about 10 mins to SoCo and 15 to downtown. It is rather hilly, so riding bikes can be a bit of a challenge, but that's how we got around and it was a great way to see Austin. The location is beautiful with lots of trees and well maintained homes. It felt very safe. The house looks exactly as shown in the pictures. It's clean, well maintained and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Sandy was great and very helpful and even shipped my clothing back to me that I absentmindedly forgot. Guess I didn't want to leave!"

  • Nice Ranch

"This is definitely a ranch vs. a "hill country" accommodation. It was nice, clean but a little cluttered with Christmas decs for my taste. Also, deposit is "cash" and 1 month after my stay, it has yet to be returned. If you like ranch living, this is it. It you want "hill country keep looking."

  • Owner Hospitality

"There have already been many positive reviews regarding the beautiful scenery, lovely house and quiet and peaceful surroundings, of which I wholeheartedly agree. Instead, I would like to take this opportunity to let everyone know of the wonderful hospitality of the owner. (Owner name withheld due to review guidelines.) Our group had several requests prior and during our stay, she was more than accommodating. She allowed us to move furniture and any furnishings we needed to. This included moving a queen size mattress from the unoccupied "guest house" to the big house so that the member of our group with multiple sclerosis could have a softer bed. Anything we needed, the owner personally brought to us. This included a new LCD TV to replace an older model (which still worked fine) so that we could watch movies that were saved on our laptop. She also brought us board games since the weather turned rainy and extra kitchen items when needed. Who does that these days? We were welcomed as if we were family and that meant a lot. So enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets while you're there and know that if there is anything you need to make your stay more comfortable, the owner will see to it. Thanks for a wonderful time!"

  • Nice place for a getaway!!

"We went to Fredericksburg for a girl's weekend with coworkers. The home was cozy, had a great dining room and a nice outdoors area with plenty to do! We did spend some time in town and on a wine tour so we didn't utilize the home as much as i think we could. But we did jump in the hot tub one evening and played some games in the party barn. Overall we enjoyed our stay and a few of us have thought about returning in the future."
