  • Spring Vacation

"Exceptional time of the year to visit New Braunfels. Peaceful, luscious landscape, serene flowing river. We tubed down the Comal almost every day for two weeks. New pool and hot tub was awesome. Our condo was clean, modern, and functional. It had everything needed to make our vacation a fabulous memory."

  • Love this house and sandbar! So pet friendly

"This is the best house to relax with quiet surroundings. We loved the sandbar where we all could float and swim including our dog. The house was very clean and well maintained. Everything was in working order and no need to bring anything other than our food, clothes and bath items. The best part was when the storm came through one night, the owner texted me to check and make sure we were okay. She was very responsive and nice. I highly recommend this for families, pet owners, teens, couples, boaters, swimmers, those who like to kayak and canoe. We had several games of football, volleyball and relay races in the lush, green backyard. If you are from Texas, you know this is a treat to step barefoot on green grass with no "picky's" or red ants. World Cup soccer was on in the afternoon (nice TV) and the people we met who also use the sandbar where very nice. Great, current materials for travel and events in the area of Highlands Lakes in the house. Even had a Kuerig! Thank you for providing laundry soap and bleach since we forgot it.You will love this house!!"

  • Peaceful!

"My husband and I enjoyed the calm and convenience of this studio apartment. We loved being about to walk to dinner on 5th street. It's in an appealing residential neighborhood near restaurants and shops. It was so peaceful to drink a glass of wine on the porch of the apartment, surrounded by trees. We would certainly return."

  • Great location. Perfect for a girls' weekend.

"I recently visited Austin with two of my girlfriends and this rental was great. The location makes it wonderful. The only time we used a cab, Uber, or pedicab was on our way to and from the airport. We all commented on how clean the unit was and how there were ammenities (toothbrushes, towels, soap, etc) that made us feel right at home."

Lake Buchanan Vacation Houses Provide a Wide Variety of Things to Do

The wide open Lake Buchanan is surrounded by limestone and granite hills offering a host of different activities. Canyon cliffs and waterfalls provide some beautiful photographs and memories. Nature lovers will be able to watch herons, mallards and bald eagles. Fishing enthusiasts can hook trophy-sized bass, stripers and catfish. Swimming, sailing, boat trips, windsurfing, Jet Skiing and more can all be enjoyed from your Lake Buchanan lodging. Hike the trails, ride the zip line, or trek on horseback through the unspoiled natural surroundings. The Canyon of the Eagles Nature Park provides 940 acres of protected reserve which is home to many threatened and endangered birds. It is a great place for hiking and nature-spotting. For a change, head to one of the local towns for antiquing, gift shops and local restaurants.

Getting to Your Lake Buchanan Lodging Is Easy

They have two observation decks for spotting wildlife, bald eagles and the cascading waterfalls.

Kingsland is a small unincorporated town of about 5,600 residents. From here, you can hire a boat and sail up the Llano River. Just upstream from Kingsland, “the slab” is a popular gathering place on the sandy beach. The area is best known for its fields of bluebonnets which flower from March through May, and are a spectacularly beautiful sight.
