  • A real find...

"I have had very good luck with VRBO over the years, but I have to say this is one of my best finds. The cabin was perfect, EXACTLY as advertised, which isn't all that common these days. Very comfy bed, and the cabin was well stocked for a worry free stay. Plus, get up in the morning to a breakfast of fresh baked muffins, fresh fruit, and a jar of orange juice..!!! The owners are on site, very friendly & helpful, but only if needed. My privacy was respected. Couldn't be happier with my choice. Thank you Jan & Bob."

  • Lovely, comfortable, good vibes!

"I have my own house rental in Austin but found ourselves in need of a place for a few weeks at the tail end of a house remodel. Sandy offered a wonderful place for our family. Highly recommend! The house is one of those fantastic old original Austin homes, lovingly cared for and still having character. When I walked in and saw posters from a KGSR concert 20 years ago I knew the owners were the real deal. The location is fantastic being close to South Congress and downtown. We enjoyed walking down to HomeSlice and the many awesome local places on South Congress. The King bed in the master is extremely comfortable and the sheets were great. The kitchen has been remodeled and it has a very nice flow to it. The two other bedrooms are a nice size. We enjoyed hanging out in the den/TV room. Sandy was incredibly accommodating. Thank you!"

  • Great place to relax and unwind...

"My wife and I spent a three-day weekend in this cabin, along with our son and one his friends. The location was great - very tranquil tucked back under a grove of live oak trees and along a creek bed. My son and his friend had a wonderful time fishing in the river and caught and released several small bass. Access to the river frontage really enhanced our stay! We cooked burgers out in the side yard one evening and sat out by the fire pit and enjoyed the cool October weather with a great bottle of wine purchased at the wine shop on the Square. I highly recommend breakfast from the Sugar Shak bakery - everything was terrific and fresh. We wanted a weekend to decompress and got exactly that!"

  • Country Paradise

"What a great place! From sitting on the porch drinking coffee and watching all the deer in the morning – to settling in and looking up at all the stars while listening to the sounds of the night. After touring around the Hill Country during the day this was the perfect place for us to prop our feet up and relax or to grill a steak from the local meat market. The house was immaculate, kitchen very well stocked, big-screen televisions, quiet, roomy, great cell reception, comfortable beds and great deer/ bird watching! A wonderful departure from the concrete city we live in. We will be back next year and thank you to the owner for your suggestions, great directions and sharing your gem of a house with us."
