  • Beautiful

"We were in town for a Willie Nelson show, and needed a place nearby. We wanted a place on the water, to be able to kayak and swim, while taking in some of the amazing views that Austin has to offer. We pulled up onto this property, and were stunned at how magnificent it was. Huge home, huge loft over their garage (which is the rental), and tremendous views of the river. Mary, the owner, was extremely kind and down to earth. Made us feel at home right off the bat. We kayaked, rode the cool little water bike things down the river, and the three tiered jacuzzi was great to soak in the first night we stayed. We sunned out on the huge balcony-like dock as well. It was an inspirational stay, and motivated us to set the bar a little higher for ourselves as far as where we want to go in life. Mary is proving her guests with a taste of luxury living. Well worth the investment in yourself to stay at Camp Sawin."

  • Perfect for a girl's weekend

"This condo had just the right about of space for a group of 10 girls. Unfortunately it rained on Saturday so we weren't able to enjoy the pool or easy access to the river as much as we would've liked. However, we were close enough to be able to venture to the Natural Caverns which was a fun activity. The kitchen/bathrooms were well stocked with dishes and linens. The management company was great to work with as well. We accidently left a valuable item in the condo on Sunday after turning in the keys and someone was able to meet us and let us back in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return to the area soon!"

  • As good as it gets!!

"i wanted to experience Austin, the true Austin, not just stay there a few days but feel wht it is like to live there. this little house was just perfect. it is only a few blocks, not even 4 blocks, from The Continental Club on South Congress. It is less than a mile from the bat bridge, yet it is nestled in a quaint, quiet, neighborhood with a tree covered little street that feels so safe and beautiful. We woke each morning to sunlight streaming in through the tree branches into a bright and cheery bedroom. The neighborhood chickens strut around the lawn looking for tiny morsels in the grass. Yes chickens! there are four chickens that lice in the neighborhood. they go from house to house and some people feed them bread crumbs. No rooster all hens so no crowing or anything, just another additional quaintness. the house is small but very comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped. We ate in more than we thought we would, there is a little courtyard in the back that is clean and beautiful. to sum it up it is a wonderful place to experience authentic Austin. You will love it."

  • Bachelorette Party!

"My sister had her bachelorette party in Gruene and we needed a house to stay for just one night. Egret's Landing was perfect for us! Plenty of space for all of us and only a 15 minute drive to Gruene. We really enjoyed our stay and are hoping to visit again during the summer months when we can take advantage of the spacious backyard facing the lake."
