"Our family really enjoyed our stay at Oak House earlier this month. Loved the big and shaded yard for the kids and the pool table was as big hit with the adults. We enjoyed fishing, swimming and shopping in near by towns. We will definitely consider coming back next year."

"We had a large family gathering and used two houses. We found the accommodations to be great! The houses had everything we needed. Really enjoyed the back deck. Our only issue was the swimming area. We didn't feel it was good at all. The kids did enjoy the paddle boat and the fishing, but didn't feel comfortable swimming."

"Shady Grove was the destination for our family reunion with 15 adults and teenagers. We were looking for a place that had accessibility for my elderly father yet offered enough activities to keep 8 20-somethings active and happy for a week. This was the right spot for everyone; the frisbee golf, volleyball, badminton and bocci (?) ball kept us busy and the yard from the house to the boat dock was a gentle slope that my father and his wife could easily and safely negotiate. The 5 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms were sufficient to give everyone adequate space. The bunkroom with 6 bunks did get pretty warm at night, however. Our favorite area was the outdoor patio with the bar, frig, grill, ice machine, chairs, large fan, stereo system, and big screen TV. Although initially we could not get the TV to function properly, management did make it out to fix it so the remote would work. The kitchen was furnished with everything imagineable and the 2 washers and dryers were helpful. Our favorite activity was being at the boat dock and swimming, kayaking, boating, floating, paddleboating, and visiting. There was room for the 22-foot fishing boat my sister's family brought as well as a smaller fishing boat we also brought with us. I appreciated that the house was on a small "channel" of sorts so that I could swim laps the width of it each day without the fear of large boats in the busy areas. All in all, I think we would return to this property; the cost, which was at the higher end of the budget for us, was made up for by the amenities that appealed to a diverse crowd."

"My family rented the home for 4 nights in July and had a wonderful time! We are a family of 4 with 2 young children and I brought my teenage nieces and their Granny. Everyone LOVED it! Great location(end of a street and private)and easy to get anywhere. The boat launch people across the lake at Rockaway RV were also very nice! The views are beautiful from boat dock and from the porch of this house! The deer came right up to my kids! After a busy day the house is a great haven to relax, it is clean, open and inviting. Toys for the kids, floats and all the basic amenities! Mornings were my favorite, so peaceful on the porch with a morning breeze, watching the birds and squirrels. The boat dock was great as were able to swim right off it and leave our boat docked at the house for the whole trip. Homeowner was very sweet, flexible and accommodating! We really enjoyed your lake house and apprecite you renting out such a wonderful place! We can't wait to go back!"
