"We stayed in this home the weekend of our wedding and it was absolutely wonderful. The home was cozy with everything we needed, the Texas Cottage was great and the homeowner Nancy was purely a joy to work with. The view of the lake is awesome, the backyard is huge and the swimming was so much fun! Our stay in this home was the perfect touch for a flawless wedding and a memorable weekend. We are looking forward to staying here again for our anniversary! Thank you Nancy!"

"Shady Grove was the destination for our family reunion with 15 adults and teenagers. We were looking for a place that had accessibility for my elderly father yet offered enough activities to keep 8 20-somethings active and happy for a week. This was the right spot for everyone; the frisbee golf, volleyball, badminton and bocci (?) ball kept us busy and the yard from the house to the boat dock was a gentle slope that my father and his wife could easily and safely negotiate. The 5 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms were sufficient to give everyone adequate space. The bunkroom with 6 bunks did get pretty warm at night, however. Our favorite area was the outdoor patio with the bar, frig, grill, ice machine, chairs, large fan, stereo system, and big screen TV. Although initially we could not get the TV to function properly, management did make it out to fix it so the remote would work. The kitchen was furnished with everything imagineable and the 2 washers and dryers were helpful. Our favorite activity was being at the boat dock and swimming, kayaking, boating, floating, paddleboating, and visiting. There was room for the 22-foot fishing boat my sister's family brought as well as a smaller fishing boat we also brought with us. I appreciated that the house was on a small "channel" of sorts so that I could swim laps the width of it each day without the fear of large boats in the busy areas. All in all, I think we would return to this property; the cost, which was at the higher end of the budget for us, was made up for by the amenities that appealed to a diverse crowd."

"We stayed at this darling lake house over Memorial Day weekend and it was perfect! It is even cuter than the photos and has everything you need for a lake vacation. There were nine of us (4 adults and 5 children) and there was plenty of room for everyone. We brought our jetskis and tied them up by the house which worked out perfectly and the kids also loved using the kayaks and paddle boat. The house is wonderfully situated on a quiet cove with easy lake access. Can't wait to go back!"

"We had a large family gathering and used two houses. We found the accommodations to be great! The houses had everything we needed. Really enjoyed the back deck. Our only issue was the swimming area. We didn't feel it was good at all. The kids did enjoy the paddle boat and the fishing, but didn't feel comfortable swimming."
