  • The Best Time!

"We spent New Years with some close friends at Alway On My Mind. A great time was had by everyone. Everything you could want from games to movies to kayaks. There were outside speakers for listening to music while you hang out on the awesome back patio and a big fire pit which we used every night. Highly recommended! We will be coming back during the summer for fishing and some swimming."

  • Perfect Place to Stay

"I greatly enjoyed my stay at this beautiful unit! It was like staying in a brand new home - super clean, new appliances, etc. . The owner always responded to my questions quickly. I visit Horseshoe Bay every year and always rent from VRBO or stay at the Marriott and without a doubt, this is the best place to stay!!!"

  • Great place for a large group

"Thanks so much for sharing your home with our three families. The owners are very nice people! This house is a good setup for a large group. We had three families with 14 adult children. The area is very quiet and relaxing. We rented a pontoon boat for the weekend so it was nice having access to it right on the property. We brought our bikes and did some bike riding. The kitchen was well equipped. We all loved feeding the deer right from our hands! We met the neighbors, who said they often rent their place in conjunction with this one if you need two houses together."

  • Perfect!!!

"My family and I had a wonderful time! The unit is directly behind The Horseshoe Bay Resort and is an ideal place to stay if you are attending an event at the resort. It is located in a wonderful community and the view of the lake is spectacular!! We were in town for a wedding at Escondido Golf and Lake Club which was minutes from the Condo. I highly recommend eating at On the Rocks, which is a restaurant and bar a few miles down the road.. The prices are great and the food is awesome. The unit is well stocked and we felt right at home. I would definitely recommend this place. If we ever come back to the area, I would love to stay here again. Karen was very accommodating and and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of."

85 Miles of Fun and Sun

Lake LBJ vacation houses here are ideally placed for those who enjoy simple pleasures, such as getting out of bed and heading out for a swim before breakfast on your own private deck. Due to its constant level, the lake is perfect for swimming, boating, jet skiing, waterskiing, or fishing. The lake is connected to the Colorado and Llano rivers at Kingsland and visitors here may enjoy kayaking up the river for several miles. Close to Kingsland is an area known as "the slab," with a sandy beach for shelling, shallow water for padding, and a play and picnic area, making it is perfect for a family outing. There is also a launch area for boats and three docks, making it an ideal starting point for exploring the river.

The town itself also has great shopping and good family-friendly restaurants. Kingsland is also a great place for golfers, with two good courses--the semi-private Legends on the Lake LBJ and Packsaddle Country Club. Visitors here may like to explore the interesting ancient rock formations. Granite Shoals has excellent access to the late and is a popular for waterskiing, jet skiing and boating because of its excellent launch facility. It is also a great area for swimming and fishing. The exceptional scenery around Sunrise Beach makes this an attractive area that is very popular with boating enthusiasts. Visitors to Horseshoe Bay will find it a great area with lots of fun for everyone. There are three great golf courses and a Yacht Club with one of the biggest marinas in the state. Visit Longhorn Cavern and Hunt for Fossils or Ghosts!

Lake LBJ vacation rentals are not all about the lake! Close to the area is Longhorn Cavern State Park. This is where visitors will find Longhorn Cavern, where thousands of years of river water have created a spectacular natural wonder. Here, visitors may be lucky enough to find a fossil of Ice Age mammals that once lived in the cavern or relics from its first human inhabitants, the Comanche Indians. During the Civil War, the cavern was used by the confederates to manufacture gunpowder. Local legend has it that the famous Texas outlaw, Sam Bass, also used this place as a hideout! Be warned, the cavern is said to be haunted! So much so, that brave visitors may choose to accompany one of the ghost hunts held here.

There is also the Canyon of the Eagles resort with over 14 miles of nature trails and outdoor activities. This is a great opportunity for a more leisurely activity, such as taking a river cruise.
