"This lakehouse rental was nothing but amazing! Everything described was right on key. Large game room with ping pong, video games, and big screens throughout the house.
We came to Lake Travis to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday with a group of friends. Rented a boat during the day and relax and barbecued at the house. We had a blast and we can't wait to return to the same lake house. There was only seven of us who stayed at the house, but the can truly fit double that amount.
Scott was very easy to work with, and the transaction was short and simple.
Thanks again for the great weekend! We can't wait to come stay again!!"

"I spent last weekend here with a group of old friends. This was the 14th time we've rented a vacation home for this yearly get-together, and we've never enjoyed a place more than this one.
The location is wonderful - definitely in the country, but only 20 minutes from plenty of restaurants and shopping on the southwest edge of Austin. The property, which is quite large, overlooks the Pedernales River; there's a nice path (mostly stairs) all the way down to the riverbank. The surroundings are classic Hill Country, from the limestone bluffs to the roadrunner that wandered around the property one afternoon. There are neighbors on both sides but we never saw or heard them.
The main house is a large three-bedroom, with a big kitchen and a separate den / media room (complete with tiger theme). It's not luxurious, but everything was clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was well-stocked and everything worked great except for some of the burners on the range. There are two big tables, each with seating for 8. The master bedroom (where I stayed) was fantastic and features a really comfortable king bed. There's also a nice covered carport that can accommodate four cars. Out back there's a small but nice (and deep!) swimming pool, a small hot tub, and a two-person sauna. We enjoyed all of these immensely.
The guest house is a much smaller three-bedroom, with a small kitchen and living area. Like the main house, it's modest but comfortable. We didn't need to use the seventh bedroom, a small apartment off of the garage; it's a neat little setup, but did smell faintly of gasoline (something we didn't try to fix since no one slept there).
Mark (the property owner) was very easy to work with. And when I arrived at the property, Mary Ann and Will (the housekeeper and groundskeeper) graciously showed me around and answered all my questions. All in all, a great group of folks.
In summary, if you're looking for a place out in the country to relax and play, you'll probably love it here."

"We wanted a special, secluded weekend getaway on the lake. The other reviews are dead-on. It's an amazing home that is clean and cared for, that feels full of love and warmth. Parking on the street reveals only an address sign. As you start to go down the little path, the house comes into view. Not sure when it was built but has great lines, reminiscent of late 70's architecture. At the end of the path, a wood bridge escorts you to the front door. Then you enter a thoughtfully furnished rustic retreat. The blinds can all be opened filling the house with light. Wood tiled ceilings bring the outside in and make the space feel cozy. The balance and harmony of the house and the spaces made me wonder if the owner was some type of designer. Per the other reviews, everything was supplied - clean towels and sheets, a respectable kitchen, and a view to go crazy for. It actually rained the entire time we were there, but we were able to open up all the blinds and watch the rain replenishing the cove. It did stop long enough to sit out on the deck for a while in the evening. But with a comfortable bed and the sound of the rain falling, we had an amazing sleep. The owner was fantastic, available for questions and information, but allowing total privacy.
Will definitely have to get back - want to get in on that sunset view next time! It was only my husband and I but it would be a nice place for two or three children as well. Would definitely make a nice family getaway."
