  • Great View

"It was a great view and beautiful house! Tons of room for a group. Pool was too cold to get in...which was expected with going in March. There was a lot of instruction that was not given to us and we had to call once there, and some answers still were left u answered. The pool had tons of leaves in it, the pool light did not come on at night- which I thought would have made the view better at night. The emails from owner said they have a lot of paper goods which there was only a few plates, cups and utensils. The regular dishes in drawers and cabinets were all dirty and had to be washed prior to use. The house had a wet/musty smell from the carpet on we had to spray a lot of air fresheners throughout weekend and buy plug-ins. The garage door wouldn't close, but after trying to figure it out for about 2 hours, the owner said you have to hold the button down. I wish this would have been on the list of house instructions. The main floor has a masters room that has its own bathroom and entrance to balcony. There is a guest half bath on the main floor as well. Separate is a guest room. Downstairs has some pull out couches in the second living room, door to patio and pool, more guest rooms and bathrooms and a kitchenette. Overall: Pros- great vacation house!! Overlooks Lake Travis and is beautiful! Has hot tub and lay out chairs..multiple levels of different areas to sit with the great view. Great for groups! Provides towels, sheets, and glassware. Cons- bad smell, needs new pool and ceiling living room lights and updated home instructions, should make sure the dishes are washed from previous renters, and that the leaves are out of pool. 1 hour from downtown Austin if you plan to go out and most restaurants will not deliver here unless you pay a traveling fee. Horrible wifi in home and hot water for showers did not work for one of our nights. No aux cord for speakers outside or inside to play music. Come prepared with all your plates, coffee, cups, paper towels, and food for weekend- grocery stores are atleast 20 minutes away."

  • Lovely Property!

"We ended up at this property thanks to TurnKey, because the property that we were supposed to stay at on the other side of the lake had a terrible odor. Props to TurnKey for booking us at this gem! Had I known this place is existed I'd have booked this place in a heartbeat! It was very difficult to find as our Google Maps App would not direct us to this address. However once we were able to find it we were so pleasantly surprised! The first night that we were there we didn't have any neighbors in the villa next door, so the entire property was ours to explore. A whole vineyard and a beautiful lake cove to admire. The view from the balcony is so serene and breathtaking! The grounds are beautifully landscaped with roses and flowers. Although the size of this home is modest, it feels very spacious. We came to Austin to explore the city (which is an hour long drive; a bit further than we wanted), but we ended up not wanting to leave this vineyard! We cannot rave enough about this property. The only tiny complaints that we had was that the twin beds had really hard mattresses and so did the pull out bed on the couch. The master bed was very comfy though. Also we did a decent amount of cooking and the kitchen was not 100% stocked, as there were no measuring cups and no real oven (a small toaster/convection oven that sufficed). Also there were no clear instructions for trash day. TurnKey left us a voicemail asking us to pull out the garbage cans, and when we returned their call to let them know that the main road is about a mile down a dirt road they didn't know what we were to do with the cans. Overall I HIGHLY recommend this place. We can't wait to come back, and hopefully next time we can rent both units and not have to worry about being courteous and quiet to neighbors next door."
