  • A wonderful birthday celebration weekend

"I booked Moondance to celebrate my husband's 71 birthday. I was intrigued by the description and liked the idea that our 2 young dogs could be a part of it. We had a truly wonderful time at Abundance Retreat. It was so much more than we expected. Tom said it was the best place I had ever found for his annual weekend birthday trip. I have never been any place that was equipped with everything we could possibly want--flashlights, mosquito spray, art supplies, comfy chairs and pillows. The list would go on and on. We scored really, really well at the first Saturday market getting a great start on Christmas. The weather was incredible---nothing but blue skies and cool evenings. The crowning glory was sitting by the river doing nothing but talking and reconnecting with each other. The deer were everywhere, the proximity to town close with its excellent restaurants, and all the special touches from special dog biscuits to pewter acorns on our pillows made this a very special weekend. I highly recommend Moondance if you crave peace, beauty, and nearby great food and walking trails. We will return."

  • Adorable Log Cabin Getaway! I highly recommend staying here!

"I took 7 ladies to the Log Cabin Getaway for a birthday celebration for my Mom. We loved the Cabin. It is so quaint and adorable. It was perfect for 8 of us to stay there for the long weekend. The inside had everything you'd need. Towels, bed linens, pillows, ceiling fans, 2 different a/c controls (1 for downstairs & 1 for upstairs), a huge table we could all fit around, a large den/living area with tons of chairs, a fully stocked kitchen with plates, glasses, & various pots/pans to cook with, 2 adorable bathrooms and it was just cozy and inviting. The outside was great too. There is a fire pit that we used to have a camp fire and the drive to the cabin is on River Road. It is very scenic. Even the next door neighbor was friendly. This would be great for a family gathering. I look forward to possibly returning to this cabin! The cabin is just a short drive to Wimberley. Great little town to explore with some great restaurants."

  • So cute

"For a quick getaway on a weekend this place was great. I was able to bring my dog and have her with me the entire weekend. The house is so cute and quaint and had everything you would have needed."

  • So much fun!

"We arrived at 4pm with my family and some family friends on a Wed. afternoon. I took a quick look around. The rooms were clean and large. The kitchen had everything we could need, we also had a well stocked video library in case we wanted to watch movies at night. Because it was getting late and no wanted to cook, we ran to the Salt Lick which was yummy. We go every time we come into Wimberley. The next 4 days were spent in the river. LOVED IT. The location is perfect to sit in the river in a beach chair, drink wine coolers and visit with friends. We went to town once, but honestly, the weather was gorgeous so we played like little kids in the Blanco sooo much fun. We so want to come back. We also had so much fun watching wildlife. One evening, a family of 8 deer came across the river....2 bucks, 3 does and 3 spotted fawn...adorable. They ate some corn we set out not 20 feet from us. When was the last time you saw a firefly. They're all over Wimberley!!! I'm watching for someone to cancel so we can come again. My only complaint was the internet/wifi. It was spotty and frustrating to use it if need be. My husband is a MD and he needed it from time to time, but all in all, it was ok. Oh, my older children also liked the outside house. They could go out there, play music loud, talk and play pool whenever they wanted to without being told to turn it down. There is also another set of washer dryers out there. Everything at this place is thought out. Loved it. We'll be back."

Wimberley Travel Tips

Find the art of the Everyday With Wimberley Vacation Rentals

You're the picture of respectability, all paper, ink, and obligation. You do what you must. You never complain. You take each duty seriously. But sometimes you long for a bit of whimsy in your day. You think, of course, that you'll never find it (at least not for a price you can afford. The creative is often far from cheap). But there is an alternative to what you know: Wimberley vacation rentals.

Become Part of the Picture: Wimberley Vacation Houses

Wimberley is a collection of the old and the quaint with charming shops, cypress shadows, lavender fields, and folksy mercantiles. This little town will quickly please with its friendly atmosphere and artistry. The Market is the second largest outdoor vendor in the state. With over 475 booths, it is certain to appeal. There is much to do. You'll feel right at home. And, of course, that's made all the easier by choosing a rental property to complete your stay.

Texas Hill Country Lodging Offers the Value of Choice

No matter how impressive the town, there is certain to come a time when you'll regret the vacation. That time is usually when you pull into the parking lot of your hotel. It's an overpriced room with nothing but the basic amenities (anything more would cost too much). But there is another way to spend your evenings. Instead of waking up to four walls and a dull ceiling, consider rental homes. You can then flow from corner to corner, relishing all the extra space and extra comforts; all for a cost that won't make you weep. Renting is a steady and comparable expense to your usual hotels. You're getting so much more for a rate that isn't so much higher. That's the little bit of practicality you can keep. Even when you're looking for the unique.
