  • Great July 4th Family Getaway

"I took my wife, two kids, my parents and the dog for long July 4th weekend and had a great time. It was shorter than I expected to get to the river and 200 yards may be a stretch. The private stretch of the river had two rope swings each with a different level of "adventure." We had fun there and with day trips to the Blue Hole and Market Days. We, too, saw plenty of deer on our morning walks. The kids enjoyed "our river" so much, they often asked to go back to the private area on our trips to the rest of Wimberley. The house was nice and fit our needs perfectly with my parents in the bed room down with the rest of us up. It exceeded my expectations."

  • Weekend getaway

"The place was great. Petey was out and about all of the time and it was so close Blue Hole. The only negative thing I could say would be that the air was not turned on prior to our arrival and therefore we had to wait for the 86 degree house to cool down, but we were able to swim and enjoy ourselves while it cooled down."

  • A very pleasant week!

"This property is as advertised. It is very well maintained and very comfortable. Location in relation to local restaurants and attractions is great. Very quiet! Deer every morning, fox came to visit, and the owners cats own the place. Would recommend to others."

  • Time away to relax

"Wonderful cabin - everything as described in the literature and on the website. Deer really do happily come up to the door for feeding and the sense of peace is all consuming, from start to finish. We did none of the activities offered - just walked with our two fur babies. The chance to do nothing in such beautiful surroundings was too compelling to resist. Will definitely return…..."

Wimberley Travel Tips

Find the art of the Everyday With Wimberley Vacation Rentals

You're the picture of respectability, all paper, ink, and obligation. You do what you must. You never complain. You take each duty seriously. But sometimes you long for a bit of whimsy in your day. You think, of course, that you'll never find it (at least not for a price you can afford. The creative is often far from cheap). But there is an alternative to what you know: Wimberley vacation rentals.

Become Part of the Picture: Wimberley Vacation Houses

Wimberley is a collection of the old and the quaint with charming shops, cypress shadows, lavender fields, and folksy mercantiles. This little town will quickly please with its friendly atmosphere and artistry. The Market is the second largest outdoor vendor in the state. With over 475 booths, it is certain to appeal. There is much to do. You'll feel right at home. And, of course, that's made all the easier by choosing a rental property to complete your stay.

Texas Hill Country Lodging Offers the Value of Choice

No matter how impressive the town, there is certain to come a time when you'll regret the vacation. That time is usually when you pull into the parking lot of your hotel. It's an overpriced room with nothing but the basic amenities (anything more would cost too much). But there is another way to spend your evenings. Instead of waking up to four walls and a dull ceiling, consider rental homes. You can then flow from corner to corner, relishing all the extra space and extra comforts; all for a cost that won't make you weep. Renting is a steady and comparable expense to your usual hotels. You're getting so much more for a rate that isn't so much higher. That's the little bit of practicality you can keep. Even when you're looking for the unique.
