  • Family Get Together

"I live in the neighborhood and needed a place with more room for a family get together. This was perfect! Sleeps several very comfortably. Beautiful location! We had meals at the condo, was set up with just about everything you could think of. Would definitely recommend this retreat. On the lake away from the city, but still close enough to enjoy the attractions nearby."

  • Great Vacation Home

"My Family and I stayed here for 6 mights recently. Talk about relaxing! The lake is right outside your back door,Literally.Even though it was cold ,the beauty and serenity was awesome. We even managed to catch 5 large catfish on one of the warmer days of 64 degrees. The kitchen is small but great, you'll need nothing except your food. The see through fireplace was a wonderful addition to relax by with the colder nights. We can't wait to go back perhaps in the fall. Our 9,10 and 16 year old were very excited about the home and enjoyed the lake very well despite the cold weather. We had a total of about 20 people over for new years day dinner and there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy, not cramped at all. Tiger Creek,a Tiger sanctuary is a must.It is not too far from the home.It was very nice, clean, educational and interesting, definitely worth the money.Believe it's $5 for kids and $10 for adults. This Vacation Rental is one of the nicest ones we have stayed....We were concerned as a couple of my family members that were visiting have difficulty walking but no problems with this home, they were able to safely get around. The driveway is sloped but folks can easily be dropped off at the bottom near the home and someone can go to park the car .We will definitely return."

  • Perfect Getaway

"We rented this home for a 4 day, 3 night getaway for my wife's birthday. Upon arriving, Jimmy greeted us and pretty much gave us the ins and outs of the place, the town, and the assurance that he was there in case we needed anything. The decorations in the house added to the ambiance of the very large lakefront property. Everything was in proper working order and we encountered nothing that ever gave us any problems during our stay. The family pictures in the living room area were a nice touch as well. The game room was sort of the teens dungeon. Dart board, pool table, foosball table, several bunkbeds, and full bath allowed them a sort of privacy of their own while not being but about 50' from the main house. A large portion of the yard (immediately in front of the house) had ample space for us to set up a volleyball net and still had plenty of space left over. The picnic area, which is located immediately in front of the game room, is almost fully shaded during the daytime hours and allowed us to be outside during the daytime hours without being beaten down on by the sun. The pier/boat dock was also one of the more populated areas during our stay. The water around the dock seems to be around 6'-8' in depth at the time of our stay, so provided for some excellent swimming. Overall, everyone complimented the place and truly enjoyed their time there. Can't wait to be back."

  • Great place for a family reunion

"My husband and I took our 4 adult children and some of the grandchildren for a weekend. Perfect place for fishing (catch & release). Horses in the pasture adjoining the property loved being hand fed the sliced carrots I brought. The house is actually 6.5 baths not 7.5. The cons first. We had bad cell phone reception, a hairdryer was only in 1 bedroom, no shampoo/conditioner, broken/uneven stepping stones outside back door, plenty of knives in kitchen, but all are "very" dull, boats had water in them that we had to empty, two trolling motors were missing, but were promised on Saturday (never arrived), property was only partially mowed (said a mower broke down). The pros. There is a fire pit (bring your own wood), one outdoor chair in each bedroom, combination safe in each bedroom, coffee/condiments in each bedroom as well as in dining room area, many condiments for kitchen provided, i.e. sugar, salt/pepper, ketchup, mustard, paper towels, 3 full size washers/dryers, very close to Wal-Mart/town. Other things. The gazebo has a round table in it, so it can't be used for a wedding, but a great place for fishing. The grill is for charcoal. Caretaker Jim comes twice a day to remove trash and provide any information/requests. He knocks and comes right on in without waiting for the door to the answered. There is a combination lock, so locking the door wouldn't prevent his entry. One morning he saw my son-in-law (an earlycriser) fishing & spoke to him. Son-in-law told him everyone was still sleeping. He came in anyway and I ran into him almost literally as I was coming out of my bedroom. He didn't knock that time. There is a tip jar for the housekeeper, but we were asked to do whatever we could to help her out before we left. I washed all the towels and folded what wasn't in the dryers before we left. However, there is no additional fee for cleaning. There is tax charged on the house which is not indicated in the VRBO website. Would I stay there again--YES, but with an understanding about entry with Jim."
