"We had a great time staying in the house. It was a perfect size for just the two of us. Very nice and clean and had everything we needed for the four nights we stayed there. Loved the boat slip even caught a couple of nice catfish right off the docks of the boat slip. Had a great time watching the "wildlife". Mostly the Mallard ducks. One had 13 babies. So relaxing just sitting and watching and talking to other people in the neighborhood. Everyone was so nice and helpful with fishing directions. Would love to go again and use the same house. So affordable and clean. Didn't even need the upstairs even though it would have slept three more people."Guest: Dannette W. Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 22, 2014View listing
"Luckily, we were able to rent this home at the last minute when we just needed a little peace and a little fishing. This was just the place for both. Both the owner and the neighbor who assists with check in ( and her husband) were very friendly and helpful. The place was very clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. Great dock to swim off and/or fish off and a large yard for Frisbee or throwing the football. And the sunset was like a postcard. We will definitely be back! Thank you."Guest: Jenny L. "We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to East Texas and to the Cozy Cottage. We would go sight-seeing during the early part of the day (hiking at Lake Livingston State Park and trails in the Big Thicket Nature Preserve) and spend the later part of the afternoon and evening at the cottage. It is so relaxing and peaceful and there is so much wildlife to see. 2 alligators went swimming by the dock (my husband was so excited) and many different kinds of birds. We had the best luck fishing at night (after the turtles went to the bank) and caught some catfish! The kitchen has everything that you could possibly need to cook meal and there is an extensive movie selection. It was exactly what we needed! :)"Guest: Christy Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 29, 2014View listing
