"We spent an excellent 5 night stay for an extended family vacation whereby my brother and sister and their family joined our mom and dad for a nice family vacation on the lake. The house has an excellent large space downstairs and accomodates a large family event whether we are playing cards at the large kitchen table or watching movies nearby in the family room. Very nice upstairs media room where kids can watch movies or play video games on the nice big screen tv. In additon, the pool and the very large deck is also a great place to congregate. Gathering around the firepit at night also makes for a great place to re-tell family stories and laugh while cooking marshmellows over the open fire. If you have access to a boat, a very large space to keep you boat close by for those tubing excursions or sunset boat rides. This house was located in a very nice area whereby the lake view was tremendous. The 2 large bedrooms and their balconies looking over the water was a very nice place to sit and read a book while enjoying a glass of wine. This was our first time at this location and schedule permitting, we will be back."

"We had a wonderful time. The condo was very clean and comfortable. It was extremely hot but the AC worked great. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. The pool was a little farther than we liked but not a problem. We would recommend this condo for anyone!"

"This lakefront cabin provides the essentials for a pleasant vacation at a fair price. The cabin also comes with a canoe and a small boat, which were critical for us as the dock was unreachable from land due to high lake levels. That's a good problem to have, no complaints, but if you're expecting to walk out onto a dock you may want to research first. It was easy enough to launch the boat from land, as there is a set of stone steps descending to the water.
The large master bedroom is on the first floor, with a full bathroom attached. The other bedrooms are at the top of a steep set of stairs, and you must pass through one bedroom (with a full bed) to reach the second bedroom (two twin mattresses on floor-level frames). This setup was not a problem for us, but renters with small children, mobility issues, or privacy needs should be aware.
Each room has its own A/C unit on the wall, so individual preferences can be accommodated. The second bathroom is off of the living area, with a clothes dryer (but no washer, as stated in the property description). The living area is quite large and the deck is ample - we enjoyed using both. The kitchen is adequate for simple meals, and there is a charcoal grill available. We brought our own deep fryer and were pleased to catch enough fish to need it!
Regarding food, there is a WalMart Neighborhood Market in the town of Lone Star, the closest location to pick up fresh grocery items. For eating out, we highly recommend Five D Cattle Co. in Avinger for a great dinner. They take reservations, and are willing to split meals between diners.
As many reviewers have stated, the sunsets here are lovely!"

"James was extremely accommodating to our group's needs! He was very flexible with our dates and making sure we got exactly what we needed. I would (and already have) recommended the place to friends and family."
