  • Weekend get away!

"The property was beautiful and comfortable. We felt at home but on vacation. Waking up to a beautiful scenery of nature made it relaxing and placed me in a state of peacefulness. It was a wonderful spot I would love to go again. I was nervous to book for the first time, but the owner had everything well organized."

  • Wonderful home and great lake views!

"Our family spent a wonderful week at Lake Sam Rayburn. This home is beautiful and had a great floor plan for our family of 4 plus grandparents. We spent a lot of our time on the back porch/deck, relaxing and cooking out. The lake is perfect for swimming here as it has a gradual descent and no big drop off. The homeowner was great to work with and kept in touch to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this home to others and hope to visit again soon."

  • nice place

"Well, at first sight it wasn't quite what we expected from the pictures which made me a little sick. But once you walk inside and give it a chance to settle in on you, its a great place for a family get together. Plenty of room, nice and clean. The lake access isnt bad if you have a boat but dont expect somewhere to swim. Its also very close to the highway which also isnt mentioned - to the point you can see/hear the cars go by through the trees. The neighborhood isnt the nicest either. Its still a nice place, just maybe a little overpriced when you consider the entire package. The neighbors have no problem driving through the yard or parking their boats in your way so you have to get your feet wet leaving your boat to go up to the house - which isnt the renter's fault, but still it happens."

  • Wonderful family getaway

"The property had all the amenities of home, lots to do and easy access to lake (for boating). Used the back patio and both fire pits. Had a wonderful time would definitely stay here again!! Only downfall is the bathroom down the hall by bedrooms has terrible water pressure, but shower off kitchen was great! Great views and fishing on the lake."

The Pros and Cons of Sam Rayburn Lakes Vacation Rentals

Although a vacation rental may appear more costly than camping or caravanning, there are many benefits to consider besides the price. A vacation rental home offers comfortable seating and TVs, and most lake houses have internet connections. Comfortable beds make sleeping in a real treat compared to sleeping on the ground. Warm bathrooms with showers are a big plus, along with a washing machine for dirty outdoor clothes. If the weather turns wet, a vacation home is a cozy place to hang out and read a book or play games until the weather improves. Finally, cooking family meals in the fully equipped kitchen can mean big savings compared to eating out. With a refrigerator for chilling the beer and keeping those freshly caught fish in prime condition, vacation rentals can add up to great value for money, especially if you split the cost of renting the cabin with family or friends.
