  • Fall family get together

"What a nice place to meet up with family members. The views of the lake are amazing and the house was very comfortable. The master suite and bathroom were newly remodeled. Most of our time was spent visiting on the large deck overlooking the lake. My 78 year old mother joined us from Dallas and absolutely loved the place. I was suprised at how well supplied the kitchen was for cooking meals. We will definitly be back.........."

  • Beautiful weekend with family

"This home was very nice but still comfortable and cozy. The waterfront view was awesome from the amazing deck where we visited with coffee in the mornings around the cozy chiminea and roasted marshmallows at night around the fire pit in the lawn. The teenagers kayaked and fished and there was plenty of shoreline to anchor our bass boat. Ample places to sleep and beds were super comfy! The owners have stocked it well with plenty of linens and towels and also have left a touch of their personal life there with pictures of their travels . . . felt like home. The owners are very easy to do business with and were very accessible. Great time and we will be back!"

  • We had a blast....

"We loved it here. Super affordable and still very nice accommodations...and the ONLY reason I don't give it 5 stars is cuz there was a power outage (not their fault) in the middle of the night.....but once power came back on. ...we still had no water for a few hours.....simple fix with resetting the well.....but overall we loved every minute we were there. Owner was super nice and patient with us....and so was Lena. Great ppl!....we will definitely be going there again.....and hopefully soon! So really, I do give it 5 stars... :)"

  • Family Vacation

"The accommodations and the surroundings were great. All was accurately described. The biggest draw back was getting us all there without getting lost and having no communication with the ones that were having problems. Once we were all there the reception problem didn't matter."

It is close to the Sam Rayburn National Forest and there are a number of small communities around the lake providing entertainment, restaurants and shops.

Boating, waterskiing, wakeboarding, swimming and hiking can all be enjoyed around and on Sam Rayburn Lake. It is also a great area for scenic drives.

Hunters will find plenty of duck, squirrel, deer and feral hogs just minutes away in the Sam Rayburn National Forest. The Pros and Cons of Sam Rayburn Lakes Vacation Rentals

Although a vacation rental may appear more costly than camping or caravanning, there are many benefits to consider besides the price. A vacation rental home offers comfortable seating and TVs, and most lake houses have internet connections. Comfortable beds make sleeping in a real treat compared to sleeping on the ground. Warm bathrooms with showers are a big plus, along with a washing machine for dirty outdoor clothes. If the weather turns wet, a vacation home is a cozy place to hang out and read a book or play games until the weather improves. Finally, cooking family meals in the fully equipped kitchen can mean big savings compared to eating out. With a refrigerator for chilling the beer and keeping those freshly caught fish in prime condition, vacation rentals can add up to great value for money, especially if you split the cost of renting the cabin with family or friends.
