"My husband and I visited Treehouse for a short getaway for peace and quiet. The pictures show all the rooms but when you walk in it actually looks bigger. It is an efficiency but for my 6' man he was comfortable and pleased. The bed was very comfortable and entire place was very clean. Kitchen was stocked and as all the comments said the biscuits were fantastic. We also asked to buy a dozen farm fresh eggs.
The lake was absolutely beautiful and we caught numerous fish, mostly bass. We took a boat out with a trolling motor and cruised all over it allowing us to get to other areas...and just enjoy the beauty. All you hear are fish splashes, frogs, the birds, and the cows. We really enjoyed this little hideaway. We felt all by ourselves. The owners are very sweet and helpful (Paula even helped us at 11 pm). Thank you, Paula. We look forward to bringing our kids and staying in a bigger property there."

"We had a wonderful lake vacation with friends. We had 3 families with 13 people total and plenty of space! A lot of stairs in the house, but that didn't affect us or the kids. The house had everything we needed, even plenty of pool towels. We enjoyed most of our time by the pool area, which was our favorite...beautiful landscaping, and evenings on the deck in the rocking chairs. The owners are great to work with. Would highly recommend it!"

"This lakefront cabin provides the essentials for a pleasant vacation at a fair price. The cabin also comes with a canoe and a small boat, which were critical for us as the dock was unreachable from land due to high lake levels. That's a good problem to have, no complaints, but if you're expecting to walk out onto a dock you may want to research first. It was easy enough to launch the boat from land, as there is a set of stone steps descending to the water.
The large master bedroom is on the first floor, with a full bathroom attached. The other bedrooms are at the top of a steep set of stairs, and you must pass through one bedroom (with a full bed) to reach the second bedroom (two twin mattresses on floor-level frames). This setup was not a problem for us, but renters with small children, mobility issues, or privacy needs should be aware.
Each room has its own A/C unit on the wall, so individual preferences can be accommodated. The second bathroom is off of the living area, with a clothes dryer (but no washer, as stated in the property description). The living area is quite large and the deck is ample - we enjoyed using both. The kitchen is adequate for simple meals, and there is a charcoal grill available. We brought our own deep fryer and were pleased to catch enough fish to need it!
Regarding food, there is a WalMart Neighborhood Market in the town of Lone Star, the closest location to pick up fresh grocery items. For eating out, we highly recommend Five D Cattle Co. in Avinger for a great dinner. They take reservations, and are willing to split meals between diners.
As many reviewers have stated, the sunsets here are lovely!"

"My family and me decided to slow down this vacation so we chose the Crappie house and we loved it. The cabin was clean and comfortable and Mike and Ruth were very helpful. We spent every morning fishing and caught tons of fish and spent the afternoons out exploring the area. The weather was a little rough but it made it really nice sitting out on the deck watching the waves in the lake. Even the wife and kids said they would want to come back and considering that they are more used to beaches and Disney World that is saying something. We love it so take my suggestion and have a relaxing vacation for a change."
