  • WONDERFUL BACKYARD VACATION

"For the last two vacations Paw Paw and I have taken the grands on the vacations of their choosing. This year we decided to spend a little quiet time to ourselves and a little closer to home. This location was PERFECT! We fished everyday- starting at daybreak, resting through the heat of the day then back at it around sunset. We got some beautiful sunset photos from the dock during our stay and the fishing was wonderful. We stood on the deck each evening and watched deer as they visited us and the adjoining properties. There were even a couple of small fawns with the group of ten or so deer who seemed to have very little fear as they watched us watching them between their frolicking and snacking. The cabin was very well maintained and true to its description. Everything we needed as far as kitchen items was available. It was even stocked with plenty of laundry, bathroom and kitchen sundries (although we brought our own). Even though the owners were out of town, they provided us with a contact person who was very nice and helpful in answering our questions. He even found us some life vests to use in the canoe or paddle boat if we chose to go out. One evening we road through town and visited the spillway, surrounding area and Lone Star. We didn't eat out at all because we had brought along more than enough food for the stay. Between this and our trips to obtain live fishing bait, our activities were limited to the dock on the lake and the football games! Very restful and calming indeed. We have told all our family and co-workers about this rental unit and have given them the website address. Thanks Phil for the wonderful home away from home and an atmosphere that definitely what we were looking for. Hopefully we will get to spend another "backyard" vacation in your rental and bring the grands along."

  • Four golf guys stay in The Woodlands

"We are four golf guys who came to play golf in The Woodlands and entertain our Texas friends. What a great place it was and another example of the great VRBO rentals. Location of this home could not have been better. Just down the street from the Oaks and Panther Trail golf courses. Home is large with four bedrooms, plenty of entertainment room, and smooth flow of traffic. The home creates a warm environment and neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. Though house is on the golf course, no golf balls were flying our way while we enjoyed the excellent view. It has a large deck with a grill and outdoor sitting was perfect place for us to chill out. We enjoyed the large flat screen TV and access to multiple entertainment sites. We felt at home in this house in Texas and highly recommend it to any who want to have a wonderful experience away from home."
