"My husband and I rented this home for 10 days in mid July. Yes, it was hot at 100+/- each day; but the fantastic Oak tree and shaded patio allowed us to enjoy the outdoors even on the hottest of afternoons.
This home is nicely updated and has a well appointed kitchen. I prepared meals all week and entertained friends and family who would come out for the day or an overnight and never thought, "oh I wish they had..."
We brought our 23 foot ski boat and really had a wonderful time on the lake. This house comes equipped with a nice boat lift and dock. The water right off the dock was consistently calm even when the lake was rough.
We brought our 2 dogs and the fully fenced yard kept everyone safe and secure. In the backyard there's enough green space for the dogs and an expansive deck with a fire pit for coffee in the morning or watching the sun set.
I would highly recommend this home. The owner is quick to respond and has a wonderful rental home set-up.
Don't hesitate to book this one--you will absolutely enjoy your stay!"

"We first stayed here in 2013 and we enjoyed it so much, we came back in 2014! Great house--we comfortably fit four adults and 7 kids. Fully stocked kitchen with everything from muffin tins to barbecue equipment. Make yourself a drink, grab a seat on the deck over the boat dock, and enjoy the sunset. We enjoyed swimming and fishing in the lake, playing soccer on the big lawn, and grilling on the barbecue. Very relaxing. If cooking isn't your thing, just drive a few blocks into town--there are all sorts of restaurants and two large grocery stores. Easy drive from the metroplex."

"What a beautiful place to spend a long lazy weekend! We had lots of change in our group due to illness and ended up with 4 adults and 2 teenage girls. We could have had twice as many people and still been comfortable. The house is so clean (my priority) well decorated and the a/c is great. We spent hours in the chairs looking at the lake during the hot afternoons. Just sitting there made me relax and wish I never had to go back to work. Early mornings are great for fishing, a kayak excursion or swimming off the dock. Evenings were spent playing games outside by the little house or at the big dining table.
The best part? My tv addicted family NEVER turned on a television, although there were several of them in the house. We spent time together.
Debbie is an absolute dream to work with. She let me know where everything was and what to do to get the full deposit back.
My family does every vacation with VRBO and this is the best experience we have ever had. We will be back soon!"

"We cant begin to express our gratitude for an amazing family getaway. The moment you drive up to the cottage on the lake, life all of a sudden just seems so simple. You are greeted upon arrival with the soft sounds of music and the smell of basil and lavender that only the finest 5 star resorts in Austria can offer . Somehow Michael and Ron make this happen in Texas. It honestly is like the moment you walk through the perfectly decorated cottage you are transported to a cottage in the Alps . You cant help but take a deep breath and literally all worries simply fade away . Your eyes slowly make their way to the most breathtaking view of the lake .. you cant help but open the back door and take in the lush mystical lakefront that invites you to your private dock . You pass a perfect firepot for a night of SMORES and Stories and you make your way to the PERFECT DOCK … Which has kayaks and paddles for every age . There also is the perfect set of outdoor teak furniture with umbrella for an amazing lake side lunch or dinner . Also 4 loungers if you are the sun bathing kind. The water is SIMPLE perfect in this area of the lake with a nice sandy bottom that is fantastic on your feet . I could have sat there for 2 hours at that moment but we have a 6 and 8 year old and they were running back to the house because they were ready to jump in that lake . On the way back up to the house a 10 sec walk mind you … I noticed that they have life vests for every shape and size as well . Not to mention every outdoor game from horseshoes to croquet . There isn’t a detail that is forgotten .After opening the door back to the cottage I am suddenly again greeted with the 5 star luxury feeling and again a deep breath just cant be helped . I venture into the kitchen where I am started unloading our food … where SURPRISE in the frig is ORGANIC farm FRESH eggs from their chicken & ducks … Around the corner I am greeted by a “SMORES ” kit where I find my daughter with a big grin holding the HUGE CHOCOLATE bar & bag of marshmallows… she lets out a holler and says THIS IS THE BEST PLACE EVER . I just half to laugh and say ..YES YES IT IS !!!!,There are surprises around every corner of the magical cottage . You can feel Michaels and Ron’s impeccable attention to detail and the care that each and every guest feels like they are truly IMPORTANT to them .
From milking the Goats with Eric who’s zest for life and knowledge about organic farming is simply wonderful . SIMPLY AMAZING !"
