"We had an amazing experience at Captain's Quarters! I could not be more happy with the stay. It has an amazing view to the lake! Great location to get away for a few days and enjoy some time with family and friends. The owner is very helpful and quick to respond to any concerns/questions. I would definitely go back to again and recommend this place to anyone. Thank you Captain's Quarters this was better than what we expected."

"We have been visiting the cottage for many years and it is always a wonderful experience. Every detail is designed to welcome & comfort. Ron & Michael are not only great hosts but are now our friends. We always end our stay with a renewed spirit and a plan to return."

"We loved this little place. Exactly as described. Directions were spot on and we found it easily in the dark. It was plenty spacious for all 9 of us. We had 5 adults, 2 kids, and 2 toddlers. The toddlers slept in pack n plays that we brought with us. The big kids loved the bunk bed! The deck was wonderful to sit on all day long with plenty of seating provided. It was just a short walk down to the dock where the we caught catfish anytime we wanted. We were able to tie our boats up easily. The private boat ramp was a plus too! We had to call the owner a couple of times with questions, but both times they were very friendly and handled our issues with ease. There is a TV and I believe it runs on antenna. Some local stations didn't come in very well. We brought most of our own food so we only ate out once. I don't recommend the Jalapeno Tree in Gun Barrel City. The house was stocked with condiments, sugar, coffee and other basic needs, as well as plates, cups, and utensils. All bathrooms were fully stocked with TP, towels, and large shampoo and conditioner bottles. There were extra sheets (we didn't use). Even a washer and dryer complete with detergent. We are a fishing family so the only activities we did were fishing/sightseeing on the lake. The neighbors were alot closer than we expected and you can't tell it in the pictures. All the neighbors were friendly.
The only downsides to this property:
The guys hated the single cup coffee pot. It got the job done but was messy and hard to use.
The parking says it will park 4 but we had 3 trucks and 2 boats. We were able to fit everything but it was tight. Once we put the boat in the water, we left one truck and trailer at the boat ramp.
The dining chairs were in rough shape."
