  • Great place for a family weekend!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. The house was super clean, very comfortable, and had everything we needed, including beach towels. We enjoyed having coffee and several meals on the great deck overlooking the yard and lake. Would definitely recommend!"

  • Wildwood Ranch is a beautiful Texas getaway!

"Our group of 9 childhood friends had the pleasure of staying at Wildwood Ranch and are already looking forward to returning in the near future. The main purpose of the trip was a guided fishing trip on nearby Lake Texoma. While the fishing trip was fun, the 3 days at Wildwood Ranch were the highlight of the trip. Fishing ponds, numerous trails, bikes, campfires and a lighted pavilion made our stay a blast! The house is nicely stocked and very spacious. This property is truly an amazing piece of Texas."

  • Perfect Thanksgiving Family Retreat

"This place was perfect for our family getting together from 4 states for the 2014 Thanksgiving Holiday. We did a lot of fishing, went for long walks, saw cows and deer, enjoyed relaxing on the porch swings and hammock out back, and we had competitive bumper pool games and a puzzle completion. The dining table was ideal for all of us to stand around and pray to give thanks that we could all be together again this year. We were missing my father who just passed away last year so it was important to all be there and share memories. The Texas country feel was just what we needed and we all really enjoyed The Farmhouse. Bucee's is just down the road (on 290) and you are in between Hempstead and Brenham for any shopping. Thanks Buz and Bill for your hospitality!"

  • Great spot for mini-family reunion and football

"Myself, sister and her family, and our mom (eight total) converged on the Metroplex from Arkansas, San Antonio, and North Carolina for the Texas A&M/Arkansas game at AT&T (Cowboys) Stadium and a brief family reunion. The house lent itself to having some together time when we weren't at the game...fortunately we like each other. :-) I think a good time was had by all...except I was the only one happy about the outcome of the game which had nothing to do with the house. The location is very convenient to I-820. You can actually see it from the back porch but you cannot hear it at all. Getting to I-820 on this trip was tough coming down the airport freeway because of construction so you might want to take I-30 to I-820. That route was certainly convenient to the stadium. We made it there in no time even in game traffic. The description on the 4th bedroom is slightly off. Instead of a futon there is now another memory foam bed. I think everyone slept soundly and comfortably. We didn't really use the kitchen but it seemed to be well stocked and in good working condition. There was a grill outside on the back porch, but we didn't use that either. We did take out and there were plenty of restaurants a short distance away and all types of food options available. I also wanted to note there were no mobility issues for my mom. There are no stairs to navigate if that's an issue. Slight step over the threshold is the extent of it. The only minor problem we had was the bathtub in the second bathroom was very slow draining. Nothing a little Drain-O, Liquid Plumber, or an old fashioned plunger couldn't fix. It wasn't enough to ding the overall rating. We'll certainly keep this property in mind for next year. I hope to make this an annual event ."
