"We had a great time at the house this past weekend. It feels very homey and is very comfortable! We had 16 women in the house so the kitchen was a little tight for all the cooks but otherwise all was perfect. Comfy beds, clean, great patio and lawn for relaxing, and quiet neighbors. I highly recommend this house for a laid back and affordable vacation home!"

"We drove in from Dallas with friends for a weekend get together and had the time of our life. Everything was well setup and an excellent option for a large family vacation with enough to do for everyone. Can't wait to plan another trip"

"I put together a guy's weekend for a buddy of mine who is getting married in March who had asked for a low-key weekend where we could do some fishing and hang out. This was the perfect place for that! From the moment you walk in to the house seeing the kitchen, dining room and living room to walking to the back of the house and seeing the view of the lake was amazing. There was plenty of room to accommodate 7 grown men for 3 days.
From the very beginning of booking the property to the end of getting my deposit, the owners (Mark and Misty) answered all my questions and concerns very quickly and responded to me within a few hours of my email to them. They provided information about the house via email and then there's a very informative binder which includes everything that was sent in the email, menus of the different restaurants in the area and a bug and snake catalogue of the most common critters around. A word to the wise, to get to the house, use the provided map that they send as Google maps wasn't very much help.
The lake is currently around 7' low and we could not fish from the boat house. However, we were still able to fish by walking around the boat house and fishing from the sandy pebbled beach area --->where the water is suppose to be :). We didn't bring a boat with us but the depth of the lake in that cove still gets pretty deep only a few yards out and we were able to catch a fair amount of bass while we were down there using minnows and rubber worms. I was pretty shocked by that considering we rented the house in the middle of February!
During the evenings, the outside fire place was the place to be! To me, there's nothing better than having a fire going, grilling food, listening to music using their provided stereo system with outdoor speakers and telling stories of our past.
To sum things up, this was a great experience from the beginning to the end. This is an ideal place to get away from the city and your everyday life to enjoy the outdoors and fishing. Just far enough away from Dallas to feel like your in the country, but close enough to get home in a couple of hours to get home and get ready for the next work week. I would definitely would recommend this house to family and friends and would eventually like to get out there again to do it all over again."
