  • Fun lakehouse with good access to lake

"The house is directly on the lake and good access to the lake. It is very comfortable with a nice large deck to Bar B Q on. Bedrooms are nice size as is kitchen. Over all a nice rental"

  • just one thing

"this property is amazing. everyone rave about it and even stated this was the best vacation they ever had. the only complaint EVERYONE had, even the men, was the cleanliness. we all recommend a new cleaning service. A substantial cleaning fee is charged but the only cleaning done, hopefully, was the bedding. we definitly left the place cleaner than it was when we got there."

  • Granbury Girls' Weekend 2014

"We loved staying in Bob & Nancy's rental house right on the Lake Granbury. My only question is "if this is your rental property, what does your 'real house' look like?" We booked a Girls' Weekend and were lucky enough to stay at "The Place". Nancy was great to work with to make all the arrangements and gave us everything we needed to make it an awesome and relaxing weekend away from the hubbies and children. We loved the kitchen and the master bedroom, especially the shower! Little things, like lots of towels, blankets and pillows made it a stress-free weekend. And the kitchen is fully stocked with whatever you need to make a full meal or a quick snack. You will feel like you are hanging out in your best girlfriend's home! We felt very welcome and we will be back. Thanks again helping us have the most relaxing weekend we've had in a long time. The photo is from the Granbury Opera House, which you should definitely check out if you are in town. And go by Linda's Southern Kitchen for some amazing pie!"

  • The best vacation home ever - EVER!

"We stayed at this house for a Thanksgiving family gathering. It was simply fantastic! The owner Cary obviously takes a lot of pride in his place - and it shows. The house was delightful - well decorated throughout, from interesting and quality artwork all over the walls, stunning tile floors, and the super comfortable couches perfect for watching football games. The back yard porch was wonderful, and had some chairs on it that you could easily fall asleep in. The family gathered there in the evening to watch the fire and cook smoors. We used the TV on the back porch to keep an eye on another football game while the main game was going on in the living room. For those who wanted a break, the foosball table had a tournament going most of the day, and the kids watched videos on the TV upstairs in the den. There was so much room, no one ever felt crowded. During the day, a lot of the family sat on the many rocking chairs on the front porch, and watched the horseshoe game going on, or just enjoyed the quiet. The comfortable hammock on the dock was always occupied. In the evening, we would go outside to watch stars and find constellations. It was wonderfully peaceful. We weren't quite sure how the young kids would occupy themselves, but we needn't have worried. They constantly explored the property, looking for places that would be good to build a fort. They ran down to the pond any time they could get an adult to go along, and watched for fish breaking the water. They explored the woods and named their favorite spots, and now they know exactly where "Lily Meadow" and "Jaceville" are, so they can revisit. We found the remains of what looked like an old wagon out back, and made up stories about it, until we realized it was an upside down old picnic table. Sleeping - one person said "I slept like a log!" The beds were comfortable, and after running and playing all day, everyone settled in early. Eating - the kitchen was well laid out, wonderfully stocked, and we could cook for a large number of people very easily. There was plenty of seating and we didn't feel crowded at dinner. We loved it so much, we've already talked to Cary about making sure it's available for next Thanksgiving. One person said "that was one of the best weekends I've ever had." Of course we want to do it again!"
