  • Just what we were looking for!

"Hannah, thank you so much for a great long weekend! Your place was just right for us...convenient location, beautiful surroundings, plenty of room, comfortable, and appointed with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed being able to bring our dog along and the safety of the enclosed yard. We had her mostly on leash outside, but it was nice being able to let her out briefly as needed (as long as the chickens weren't around!). We enjoyed the rainy days and the beautiful, clear days, and the gazillions of pecans (yes, I got enough for my Thanksgiving pie!). We saw a woodpecker doing his work on a tree by the river and I managed to get some decent shots of him. The location was perfect for us: 15 minutes to Bastrop, 15 minutes to LaGrange, and a new town of Smithville to explore, too. We found a couple new scenic roads and incidentally found Bone Spirits while driving around downtown...that was a fun stop! Thanks to you for everything. We hope to be back soon! Suzanne and Mark Thanks again, and hope you have a good Thanksgiving! We look forward to our next stay!"

  • Friendly service and flexibility!

"Our stay at this condo was delightful. It is cozy and warm, clean and convenient. We just stayed one night, but it was all we needed and sure did beat staying in a hotel. We booked it very last minute and arrived that same afternoon. Cody was very quick to respond to emails and was extra-generous to allow us to check in early. The parking pass for Texas A&M was ready on the table and ensured our time on campus was without worry of a parking ticket. It is perfect for 2 people for a little get-away. Thanks so much, Cody. We will be sure to come back if the opportunity arises."

  • Tranquility at its best!

"With the most peaceful country setting, this is an amazing place to get away from hustle and bustle of city. Charming, immaculate home and ranch with plenty of room for a large family or gathering of friends. The location feels very secluded, but you are minutes away from Fossil Rim. The caretakers are very friendly and take great pride in this place. It just doesn’t get any better than this and we hope to return again soon."

  • Warm, spacious and welcoming home

"My work team and I stayed in the Morell lake house for a team building retreat. We went during the winter, so we didn't get to spend much time outdoors, but the comfortable interior totally made up for it. We never felt cooped up, especially since the main living area has tons of natural light. The kitchen is beautiful and easy to work in- we had teams of 4 people at a time making meals and cleaning up afterwards. The house accommodated our 9-11 person group easily, and we all had a great experience with our sleeping arrangements. The living room furniture setup supported all of our team building activities, workshops, and games and we enjoyed the fireplace which is a central focus of the living area. Overall a great place to stay for a medium sized group like ours."
