Recent Lake McQueeney property reviews

  • Great Place to chillax

"Great place with nice amenities. Very clean and well taken care of. Comfortable beds and furniture. Valero (convenience and gas) is only a short distance in case you forget something. If you bring your boat, make sure to bring extra bumpers as this dock gets full brunt of waves. We shared the rental with our friends and it all worked out well."

  • Very good for the money

"I booked this property with the intention of only using it for a place to shower, eat breakfast, and sleep. It has 3 good sized bedrooms. One with a queen bed and the other two bedrooms has either full or queen with bunk beds as well. The property also has 2 bathrooms. Bathroom 1 is regular size with a full size bathtub. This bathroom has no electrical outlets that I could find so anything that needed to be done in the bathroom with electricity(shaving, hair dryer, etc.) had to be done in a different room. The 2nd bathroom is off the 3rd bedroom and has a shower stall and does have outlets. The area leading up to and around the house is a bit run down but from what I could see, most of the area is depressed. The house itself was in good condition and what I expected for the price. There are plenty of nicer vacation homes in the area on Lake McQueeney and the Guadalupe but they cost quite a bit more. This was a clean place for my family to rest with comfortable beds, clean sheeting, and plenty of room for our party of 9. All in all I was satisfied with the condition and location for the price I paid. The only issue I had was a non-working microwave. I contacted the owner and, unfortunately, she was out of town for the weekend, but asked if I minded picking up a unit at Walmart and take the cost out of the cleaning fee. I had to make a food run anyhow so I picked up a unit with no problems. Next time I am in the area and need a place to stay, I would not hesitate to rent again."
