  • Clean and Quaint

"Four ladies for the weekend. Plenty of space even with just 1 bath. Beautiful view. We enjoyed the fire pit area. While there is a washer and dryer, I would suggest bringing towels. We never found potholders or dishtowels so maybe bring those if cooking. Loved the dbl oven! Everything is close by, shopping, dining etc...but still has a lake house country feel. The owners are great and live next door. Would stay here again."

  • Awesome Weekend Home

"This is the perfect house for a perfect weekend getaway. Wonder views over looking the lake from both inside and outside the home. The view extends t both bedrooms were you too can wake up the sun rising on the water. The house is very well decorated and extremely clean. Came completely furnished with all you would need, just bring food and drinks. Great patio for hanging out and BBQ'ing, or just relaxing to the sounds of nature. Small store very near by for any last minute snacks or food ideas, gas and odds & ends. Very close to the marina and boat ramp if you bring your own. If not boat rentals are also available at the marina. I just can't say enough about what a wonderful place this is and what a great weekend we had. I definitely will being staying here again in the future and have no reservations about doing so."

  • Easter at Cedar Creek Lake

"This property has a cook's kitchen you will be right at home in. Views of the lake are picturesque. One of our families favorite activities is playing corn hole on the beautiful lawn. Sitting on the deck of the boathouse puts you in a relaxing mood. Sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking. We rented the kyacks and took them for a spin around the area. The lake water is up and the summer water sports will be in great shape. When the day is done, the bedrooms have comfortable beds. It is so quite there, you'll catch up on lots of sleep. We go twice a summer. Looking forward to our next visit. It is a home away from home!"

  • Guy's Weekend

"I put together a guy's weekend for a buddy of mine who is getting married in March who had asked for a low-key weekend where we could do some fishing and hang out. This was the perfect place for that! From the moment you walk in to the house seeing the kitchen, dining room and living room to walking to the back of the house and seeing the view of the lake was amazing. There was plenty of room to accommodate 7 grown men for 3 days. From the very beginning of booking the property to the end of getting my deposit, the owners (Mark and Misty) answered all my questions and concerns very quickly and responded to me within a few hours of my email to them. They provided information about the house via email and then there's a very informative binder which includes everything that was sent in the email, menus of the different restaurants in the area and a bug and snake catalogue of the most common critters around. A word to the wise, to get to the house, use the provided map that they send as Google maps wasn't very much help. The lake is currently around 7' low and we could not fish from the boat house. However, we were still able to fish by walking around the boat house and fishing from the sandy pebbled beach area --->where the water is suppose to be :). We didn't bring a boat with us but the depth of the lake in that cove still gets pretty deep only a few yards out and we were able to catch a fair amount of bass while we were down there using minnows and rubber worms. I was pretty shocked by that considering we rented the house in the middle of February! During the evenings, the outside fire place was the place to be! To me, there's nothing better than having a fire going, grilling food, listening to music using their provided stereo system with outdoor speakers and telling stories of our past. To sum things up, this was a great experience from the beginning to the end. This is an ideal place to get away from the city and your everyday life to enjoy the outdoors and fishing. Just far enough away from Dallas to feel like your in the country, but close enough to get home in a couple of hours to get home and get ready for the next work week. I would definitely would recommend this house to family and friends and would eventually like to get out there again to do it all over again."
