  • Wedding Weekend

"We recently stayed at this home for a wedding weekend with 3 families. Each family had their own room and the house was plenty spacious. My father raved about how it was such a genius idea to have rented this house instead of getting a hotel, which would have been much more expensive for all people involved. It was so nice and easy to stay under one roof with family. The backyard is wonderful, we loved watching the deer visit everyday! Very family friendly home and I would definitely stay here again."

  • Father of the Groom

"In town for my son's wedding; very nice house, conveniently located in nice, older area of town. Close to interstates, shopping, downtown, etc... The main reason for not giving five stars is that the house is needing some TLC; a plumbing problem the first day (partially resolved but no ability for baths), broken recliner in "blue room", broken chair on deck, new range hood totally non-functioning, older tv's have picture problems. I assume the owner was having a bad day/weekend as she wasn't at all friendly, needed an hour before I could even just ASK a simple question when I saw her in the back yard and seemed generally stressed. She did apologize once but was still just as "curt" (her word) afterwards. This was unusual to us since other VRBO owners we've dealt with have been extremely friendly and accomodating. Overall, the house fit our needs, was roomy and comfortable, kitchen is very nice."

  • Home away from home!

"We have often stayed in a rental home as we travel because we want to be comfortable. This place gave us all the comforts of home. Our teenagers had their own space as did the parents. The bed in the master suite wasn't the most comfortable bed, but it was okay. The photos listed gave us exactly what the home would look like. It was clean and ver well maintained. Neither of the kids complained about anything. The outside patio was nice to sit and experience the birds in the near by trees. We didn't access the grill during our time, but we did use the updated kitchen! This home is really nice. We had a plumbing issue that we brought to the homeowners attention the day of our arrival, but it was never corrected during our time there. It has a busy street on one side of this property that did get loud. Having the use of a washer and dryer did make having clean clothes easier. The attractions of San Antonio were only a few miles away from this property. But if you are looking for good eating places, you will have to drive a few minutes. We did experience the shopping of San Antonio, San Antonio Zoo, and Pappadeaux's!"

  • Gorgeous historic property; excellent location, accommodations & host!

"Location, location, location! This San Arturo VRBO is located in the heart of Downtown San Antonio, and offers a quiet and homey respite after long days sightseeing, convention-ing, adventuring, etc. A 10-minute walk takes you directly to the River, downtown, or the convention center. Choose to be car-free during your stay and take advantage of San Antonio's B-Cycle bike share program with stations located all over this area. Also within walking distance are top-rated restaurants, ranging from economical quick bites to 5-Star dining experiences -- Bliss, Taco Haven, Tito's, The Friendly Spot, B & D Ice House BBQ, Hot Joy, The Monterey, Feast, Star Fish, The Belgian Cafe, and Senor Veggie are all within a few blocks of this gorgeous historic house. The house itself is very well-appointed and has all the comforts of home. The walls are adorned with one-of-a-kind pieces procured from various local artists. Hand-made touches are found throughout the house; and the owner has done an incredible job restoring and modernizing the property, while still retaining the original charm of the house. Whether you are coming to San Antonio for business, pleasure or both, this property will afford you the luxury of an excellent urban location with all of the quiet and comfort of a home. Definitely recommend!"
