  • San Antonio Girl - Family Reunion!

"Visiting San Antonio for a family reunion – needed a place to stay for all out of town family. This place was the ticket!!! The townhouse is absolutely gorgeous, clean and very spacious! The master bedroom/bath and the Kitchen are so nice and big. My family enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. The owners have the kitchen well supplied with beautiful dishes, glasses, etc. In addition, this is such a great central location in San Antonio. We were traveling all around the city visiting family, etc. and it was nice to call this townhouse “home” while we were there. I stayed in a smaller bedroom in the townhouse, but next time I visit I am going to stay in the master bedroom … it is so nice! My cousins stayed in this room and they had so much room … let me add the closet in this room is the size of a small bedroom! My family is very tall and we really loved the HIGH ceilings in this townhouse (1st and 2nd floor)! I can’t say enough great things about this place. Also, thank you to Pruny for accommodating a day early check in!"

  • Precious place - urban chic!

"What a wonderful stay we had in this very special home. The artist who remodeled this place designed some very cool features. you would never know you were in the city near an overpass as the home is surrounded by gardens and a lovely patio. it feels very private. there is even an outdoor shower. the artist/owner has a place next door with a huge vegetable garden and chickens wandering about. location is quite central to all of san Antonio with easy street parking. Communication with Varienna was delightful. lovely home and owners."

  • THIS PLACE IS A HIDDEN GEM! WE WILL BE BACK!

"**WE LOVE THIS PLACE AND YOU WILL TOO- A HIDDEN GEM!! IT’S THE HILL COUNTRY; MEETS FREDERICKSBURG; MEETS THE VALLEY; ALL WITH THE HEART AND COMFORT FEEL OF THE OF THE MOST AMAZING PLACES OF TEXAS. THE MOST SPECTACULAR AND AMAZING FEATURE OF THIS HOME IS THAT THOSE THAT ARE PSHYICALLY AND/OR SEVERELY CHALLENGED HAVE A PLACE TO RELAX, BATH/SHOWER AND ENJOY THEIR SURROUNDINGS NATURALLY. AWESOMENESS!!!! SWEET for our families and return home troops that are states bound for some fun and relaxation This humble, yet amazing abode is nestled in a quaint and older neighborhood that is just minutes away from anything and everything you would want to do. You have the openness of mesquite trees with a creek and walking paths just like the Hill Country (bring your bike and fishing pole); you have the Bed and Breakfast allure of the Hill Country with the homey quilted linens, hardwood floors, pedestal clawed tub, HUGE front porch and an amazing handicap shower and bathroom; then, OUR MOST FAVORITE, a Mexican culinary delight to choose from every 2 blocks to 6 miles. The food is authentic and SUPER FANTASTIC!! The people in the neighborhood are kind, friendly and neighborly. A short walk down the back of the property casually declines down a 150 foot slope to a quiet creek that is either full of water and full or fishes or fuller, with a surge from something up the river… Either way, it’s soothing and the “paved” path is accommodating for those that like to run, hike or walk trails. Also, at the back of the property is a field and setup for a volleyball court. FUN FUN , There is also a basket ball hoop and lights at the front of the house for people to play there too, at any time of the night/day. This quaint place sleeps eight, very comfortably, so we needed to shop for two grown-ups and 6 semi-adult (grown teenagers +) individuals. It is 10 min drive to go to HEB 6 miles to the west and through a nicer part of the neighborhood that has good food, fantastic golf course and good family food place block, after block. We are a family that embraces culture, people and family fun…. And this is the place that embodies everything we love. SIDE NOTE: The most awesome and best surprise of the whole visit was that I did not know that my finance was the 1994 Ping Pong champion of the world… lol I want you all to know as future renters, HE STILL REIGNS!! My sweethearts’ tribe of 5 have and will forever try to beat him. God bless this home and all the visi"

  • Home away from home!

"We have often stayed in a rental home as we travel because we want to be comfortable. This place gave us all the comforts of home. Our teenagers had their own space as did the parents. The bed in the master suite wasn't the most comfortable bed, but it was okay. The photos listed gave us exactly what the home would look like. It was clean and ver well maintained. Neither of the kids complained about anything. The outside patio was nice to sit and experience the birds in the near by trees. We didn't access the grill during our time, but we did use the updated kitchen! This home is really nice. We had a plumbing issue that we brought to the homeowners attention the day of our arrival, but it was never corrected during our time there. It has a busy street on one side of this property that did get loud. Having the use of a washer and dryer did make having clean clothes easier. The attractions of San Antonio were only a few miles away from this property. But if you are looking for good eating places, you will have to drive a few minutes. We did experience the shopping of San Antonio, San Antonio Zoo, and Pappadeaux's!"
