  • Superb Hospitality Very Much Appreciated

"We had a team of 10 men down to work in San Antonio and reserved The Entire House for a month. It's a great older home and was perfect for our needs. Our guys loved the convenience of the location because from here they could spend time on the River Walks and see the town even though they were working long days. The house is homey feeling, informal, and nicely put together. The beds are comfortable, Lots Of Air Conditioning, plenty of hot water, towels, etc. It was well stocked with bedding and kitchen items; even for our long stay! The OWNER IS WONDERFUL to work with and very accommodating to our changing needs:) She and her daughter live in a little apartment in the back and are fantastic hosts, always ready to help and full of information about the city and events. When our guys wanted to add television in the rear bedrooms, she even called and had another satellite dish installed!!!! The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and the fellows spent a lot of time outside under the trees relaxing. Everybody felt at home even though they were on the road for such a long time! When we have another project in San Antonio that requires housing, we will definitely stay again!! Thank You So Much For Your Hospitality!!"

"**WE LOVE THIS PLACE AND YOU WILL TOO- A HIDDEN GEM!! IT’S THE HILL COUNTRY; MEETS FREDERICKSBURG; MEETS THE VALLEY; ALL WITH THE HEART AND COMFORT FEEL OF THE OF THE MOST AMAZING PLACES OF TEXAS. THE MOST SPECTACULAR AND AMAZING FEATURE OF THIS HOME IS THAT THOSE THAT ARE PSHYICALLY AND/OR SEVERELY CHALLENGED HAVE A PLACE TO RELAX, BATH/SHOWER AND ENJOY THEIR SURROUNDINGS NATURALLY. AWESOMENESS!!!! SWEET for our families and return home troops that are states bound for some fun and relaxation This humble, yet amazing abode is nestled in a quaint and older neighborhood that is just minutes away from anything and everything you would want to do. You have the openness of mesquite trees with a creek and walking paths just like the Hill Country (bring your bike and fishing pole); you have the Bed and Breakfast allure of the Hill Country with the homey quilted linens, hardwood floors, pedestal clawed tub, HUGE front porch and an amazing handicap shower and bathroom; then, OUR MOST FAVORITE, a Mexican culinary delight to choose from every 2 blocks to 6 miles. The food is authentic and SUPER FANTASTIC!! The people in the neighborhood are kind, friendly and neighborly. A short walk down the back of the property casually declines down a 150 foot slope to a quiet creek that is either full of water and full or fishes or fuller, with a surge from something up the river… Either way, it’s soothing and the “paved” path is accommodating for those that like to run, hike or walk trails. Also, at the back of the property is a field and setup for a volleyball court. FUN FUN , There is also a basket ball hoop and lights at the front of the house for people to play there too, at any time of the night/day. This quaint place sleeps eight, very comfortably, so we needed to shop for two grown-ups and 6 semi-adult (grown teenagers +) individuals. It is 10 min drive to go to HEB 6 miles to the west and through a nicer part of the neighborhood that has good food, fantastic golf course and good family food place block, after block. We are a family that embraces culture, people and family fun…. And this is the place that embodies everything we love. SIDE NOTE: The most awesome and best surprise of the whole visit was that I did not know that my finance was the 1994 Ping Pong champion of the world… lol I want you all to know as future renters, HE STILL REIGNS!! My sweethearts’ tribe of 5 have and will forever try to beat him. God bless this home and all the visi"

  • Air Force BMT Getaway

"Where do I begin... Our stay at Robin's Nest II was perfect. We arrived on Christmas Eve for our son's graduation on 12/27/13. We were notified late in training that trainees graduating the week of Christmas would be given Christmas day with their families off base! While this was awesome news, many families already had travel set up not to include this day with their airman. We were lucky to be arriving in time, however, due to our late flight, would be unable to purchase groceries for Christmas day meals for our son and 3 additional airman (and a mother) whose families would not arrive until later! I contacted Robin, sent a Visa cash card and she shopped for my promised items!!! Needless to say, I would later find out that these airmen would have my son read the letter specifying Christmas breakfast and dinner every night for weeks before they went to bed! None of this would have been possible without the help of Robin and the wonderful accommodations. These young men couldn't say enough about how happy they were to have a place to relax and hang out for awhile. If we return to San Antonio, I won't stay anywhere else. We cannot express our gratitude enough. It was an amazing week and we are so thankful that we had a place to spend quality, private time with our son."
