  • Cabin in the woods

"Stayed 2 nights here for a weekend getaway. The secluded cabin is very nice and quiet. There are neighboring cabins close by, but we didn't see anyone. The place was very clean with everything you need to cook with. Might be hard to find at night with the directions supplied. The only negative was the smell from the free standing fireplace. We got used to it pretty quick though. I would stay here again for sure!"

Brian Head Travel Tips

Brian Head Vacation Rentals Hidden in Dixie National Forest

Hidden among the thick forests of the Dixie National Forest’s Markagunt Plateau in Utah is Brian Head. At almost 10,000 feet, it is the highest town in the state and at the center of the Grand Circle of National Parks. This Grand Circle includes Zion, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reefs, Canyonlands and Arches. Brian Head condos are easily accessed via Interstate 15 and Highway 143, just 30 miles from Cedar City. The closest international airport is Las Vegas, some 200 miles from here. This family-friendly area attracts winter vacationers looking for great skiing and the warm summers bring those seeking outdoor fun.

Brian Head Condos are Ideal for Winter and Summer Sports

The average snowfall of 350 inches over the 640 acres of terrain makes this a great area for winter sports. Winter visitors to Brian Head vacation rentals come for the excellent powdery snow, ideal for a variety of winter sports. Activities such as downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and snow tubing are all on offer. The increasingly popular sport of snowboarding is well catered to at Brian Head with terrain parks containing banks, jibs, fun boxes, jumps, half pipes, and more. Those taking to the terrain for the first time are required to ensure they are familiar with the area. Snowboarding lessons are available for those who would like to try this exhilarating experience. The summer brings opportunities for hiking, rock climbing and horseback riding. In summer, the ski lifts offer the opportunity to take a bird’s eye view of the wonders of the natural environment. The region has a growing reputation as a world-class mountain biking area.

A Variety of Attractions on the Doorstep of Brian Head Condos

While the main attraction here is the year-round outdoor activities, there are a variety of day trips within easy reach of Brian Head vacation houses. Panguitch Lake, in south central Utah, offers an enjoyable day trip to combine with a visit to Duck Creek Village. The village is a major area for snowmobiling. During summer months, its charm is found in the surrounding meadowlands of wildflowers and wildlife such as elk, bobcats, mountain lions, and even the occasional bear. It is a great area for hiking and biking, doing an ATV trip and much more. The local lakes and rivers are attractions for fishermen with varieties of trout to be caught.

Cedar City, or "Festival City, USA" as it is sometimes known, is a lively area with plenty of festivals all year. Regular festivals here include the Utah Shakespearean Festival, Utah Summer Games, the Neil Simon Festival, and American Children’s Christmas Festival. A short distance away is Cedar Breaks National Monument, a stunning amphitheater with incredible rock formations.

Make the most of the opportunity to visit some of America’s most spectacular scenery by visiting Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park. Here, thousands of years of erosion have created a display of a seemingly neverending expanse of spires, arches and natural mazes where the light changes almost minute by minute, creating a kaleidoscope of color. Also worth visiting is Arches National Park where the world’s largest display of natural limestone arches mingle with spires, pedestals and precariously balanced rocks, creating some of the most unique views anywhere.
