  • Perfect for families

"We are just finishing our stay at Mountain Retreat cabin and could not be happier. Very homey, spacious, clean and nicely decorated cabin, 2 min from the slopes. Definaty recommend to anyone who enjoys comfort of the home while on the vacation."

  • Lovely condo

"We stayed 4 nights in this condo and loved it! We had two families including 3 kids and the space fit us perfectly. There was plenty of room for adult space and kid space. The unit is very clean, and decorated and furnished very tastefully and luxuriously. The kitchen was very well stocked - the only thing we found it lacked was a potato masher ;-). There are many, many movies to view in the DVD players. The mud room off the garage was perfect for hanging our ski clothes every day. The extra sofa bed in the third bedroom was not very comfortable as it had a metal bar running across the base. The built-in queen bunkbeds were loved by our kids! That small bedroom does not have a window so it can get a little warm. Note that we never turned the heater above the pre-set 55-degrees, as the unit stayed very warm (even having to crack the bedroom window at night!). The fireplace in the living room heated up the main floor quite efficiently if it was a bit cool there. Just a couple of notes on the location regarding ski-in and ski-out. We think the distance to the nearest ski lift, #8, was probably about 300 yards. Probably ok for some to walk but it would be a tough walk with kids. The unit does have a lovely view of the slopes. There is also a great sledding area about a minute away. The garage was stocked with sleds and our kids loved this! Overall, we loved staying here and would stay here again!"

  • Perfect For Our Summer Retreat

"This was our second time using High in the Pines on Spruce as our base for a summertime reunion and once again we had a wonderful time. The "cabin" is perfect for our needs. It has all the features and amenities you would want in a mountaintop retreat. It handles our group of nearly 25 without feeling cramped. One week was not enough for the children, including teenagers, who all wished to stay another few days -- high praise indeed. The owner has always be great to promptly handle questions or requests. We love the cabin, the area, and the proximity to Brian Head Peak, Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks, Mammoth Caves, Navajo Lake, Panguitch Lake, and other mountain locales; and to Cedar City to drop off the mountain for a night of theater. We would use it again with pleasure and recommend it to others for large family gatherings."
